bose QC35 & Elite Controller works only left ear

    Hi,

Works only left ear on my bose qc35 ii (i don't need microphone) using xbox elite controller.

I found this solution and this works for me. But this solution makes each playing process annoying. And i'm afraid this could damage headset or controller at some point or not. I dont know. Especialy it works if you try to push down a little bit while inserting.

I tried to investigate problem on PC using my Elite controller. I found out headset is recognized as 1 channel device and has microphone enabled (xbox controller). This is strange. How 3 conductor jack can be recognized
    as device with micr?

I also tried this device CCA-417W (CTIA, 4 conductor, the same has controller) without success.

Headset on samsung galaxy s7, PC and PS4 works perfectly.

I tried another headphones on elite controller, and they works fine.

I think this is microsoft software issue. Pls fix it.

    :)

    Hi Arturs,

Thanks for your post. You could attempt to use an optical to auxiliary adapter with your headset; although this would reduce functionality with the microphone it may allow you to use your headphones. Since on the forums are unable to change software that
could be affecting use of your headphones, it would be good to suggest this to our
Xbox Ideas page since you've noted that this issue has been experienced by others.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Arturs,

There isn't a developer mode on the controllers. There have been issues after updates with the 3.5mm jack messing up. This is the reason we suggest the adapter. As the adapter plugs into the controller via micro USB, a sturdier connection.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Hello, I'm wondering is there any way to enable development mode on the controller?

I could try to debug this issue.

    Hello,

    1. - 4., 6.,10. I'm testing controller on PC. windows 10

    5. works perfectly with PC, samsung galaxy s7 and PS4 pro

    7. another headset works greate with controller

    8. tested by wire. no battery.

    9. I don't want to buy one. there is not guaranty. Is this adapted required? Why then headset start to work properly when i'm using workaround mentioned in the link? all
previous headsets works greatly without adapter. Besides there is already 3.5mm hole. :)

    still has an issue.

    Hi there Arturs!

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about the current issue you may be having with a headset. I recommend
to take a look at the following articles and troubleshooting steps:

    • Connecting
a compatible headset to Xbox One

    • Have you
      updated your controller’s softwareto
      support the Stereo Headset ?
    • Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio
and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
    • Have you tried using a

      Headset Adapter
? Ensure the Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
    • Try your Xbox One Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset
      will need to be replaced.
    • Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
      updating the first controlleragain.
If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
      Xbox Online Service Center.

    Hope this helps.
