    Bose QC15 and Xbox One

    Hi All,

I have the Bose QC 15 headset that I'm looking to use with the Xbox One. I want to purchase the Microsoft Stereo Headset Adapter but first want confirmation that this headset/mic will work with the adapter. Varied answers on support forum.

Some posts say that mic jack has mic/ground leads switched while others claim controller update fixed the problem.

So... If I purchase Microsoft's stereo headset adapter will I need to also purchase a different cable for the mic to work on the QC 15's?

Please only post if you know. Enough confusion/speculation already surrounding this question.

    Thanks!

    :)

X1 Stereo headset adapter and BOSE QC15 compatibility

Hi, I have a pair of BOSE QC15 headphones with the inline mic and I was wondering if this is compatible with the stereo headset adapter for xbox one? I've seen conflicting reports online so I wanted to ask before purchasing. Thanks!

Is it an inline mic? I just Googled that headset and it looks like it probably comes with an inline mic that works on "most Apple products" according to the description. If that's the case I am guessing it's probably not going to work. You will be able to
get sound through the headphones but won't be able to use the mic. I was in the same boat with my 3rd party headphones that I tried to use with the inline mic they came with. There is a pretty cheap fix I utlized, though. Just buy one of these:

Instead of the cable you're currently using you would just plug one end of this into the Microsoft headset adapter on the controller and the other (the end with the mic) into the headphones.

This is really late...but for those who find this thread via google like I did...

This will work for mic input. I've got a friend using it right now. An adapter to use them with android phones makes them compatible with the XBOne headset adapter. Hope this helps.

Covert Forces Controller and Bose QC15

Ok guys, heres what you do, with a little trial and error I got my QC15's working. Take out the iPhone cord that plugs into your QC15 and use the normal 3.5 cord. The cord I mean has no microphone attachment, this one should work. I have a set of Bose overears,
no mic and they worked so I changed cords on the QC15 and voila. The iPhone supported mic seems to be the issue.

Covert Forces Controller and Bose QC15

Same thing with the new regular Xbox One Controller with built-in 3.5mm Headset Jack. Bose QC15 don't work at all. How is this not fixed yet? These are top quality headphones which work perfectly with PS4 plugged into the Dualshock4 controller. Why can't
Xbox One just update the controller to support it?
