Borderlands: The Handsome Collection announced for Xbox One

I've played about 1 hour of the pre-sequel and the Borderlands magic is back again!

Forget any other co-op games, Destiny, Halo, this is the game for you and even better with friends.

( just my opinion of course )

 

Yeah I played a little first thing, makes you realise how dull Destiny was tbh and I was/am a big Destiny fan.

One thing though, I did find the field of view very narrow which is never a good thing for me because it usually makes me feel a bit sick - think I'm going to have to limit it to short bursts of gameplay. Funny thing is I don't remember it affecting me when
I played it on the 360??

 

Right this game has become near unplayable for me, I've tried it for another quick burst and almost felt like I was going to throw up, I can't find anything in the options to help the view, looking around on Google it seems like I'm not the only one that's
prone to motion sickness with this. Pretty disappointed to say the least, like I say I didn't notice it on the 360 at all so I wonder whether the narrow view along with enhanced frame rate is what's doing it.

 

I've been fine with it up to yet mate, about 3 hours play so far but have had motion sickness on other games before.

One game on the 360, Earth Defence Force I felt terrible playing that. At one point the room span that fast I had to hold onto the chair as I honestly felt like I was going to fall off, terrible nausea as well. Got checked out by GP and Optician, they said
sometimes games and these days 3D movies can do that. Just depends on the game/film, you might be ok with one but not another. They gave me the usual talk, take regular breaks, sit further back.

Have you had any problems with frame rate on the game? I ask because I see quite a lot reporting issues with frame rate problems, screen tear on the console versions, wonder if that doesn't help?

Not really sure what else to suggest mate, well unless trying it on a small screen etc?

I had motion sickness issues on the 360 and having the same issue on the One. I spent most of my time playing on the PC just for that reason, you could adjust the FoV on the PC and I had hoped it would be an option on the next gen version but no such luck.

I've resorted to this
www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_1 when playing any video game that causes motion sickness and it works. It's sad that in my old age I need a pill to play video games but it's that or I take up golf.

 

@ Lofty - I've had a bit of screen tearing but mainly in cut scenes rather than gameplay, I honestly think it's the narrow field of view, I remember I had a similar thing with Singularity on the 360, it's just strange that it didn't get me on the 360 but
is terrible on this.

I will say I haven't tried B2 yet only the prequel so maybe that'll be better but I doubt it.

@ Randver, cheers I've actually got sickness tablets for when I go on boats but really don't fancy medicating to play games lol - Golf would be good option if my old broken shoulder could handle it!!

Luckily enough it's rare that games get to me so it may just be a suck it up and accept I can't play it

 

@ Randver....cheer up pal, at least you don't require pills for "other" sorts of nightly recreation that are hindered by age!

 

I downloaded the bundle from the XBOX One store and I can't see any of the DLC. When I launch B2 and go to Download Content, it gives me a message that reads, "unable to enumerate the new offerings, please try again late." WTF, it took me 2 freaking days
to download the package. Maybe there isn't any DLC for B2 on XB1, but there's a ton of it on my 360. I haven't even tried to play the Pre-Sequel yet, but I don't even see any DLC for that one either. Anyone have any guidance on how I can get what I paid for?

Dlc don't show up but when you get to sanctuary you can fast travel to them

I would wait till your around level 30 till trying them

 

Yeah i was doing the same was looking for dlc on borderlands 2 find out its already on the disc so felt dumb wasted 15 mins

 

Loving The Pre-Sequel so far.

Is it just me or is the Pre Sequel tougher than Borderlands 1 & 2, especially until you start levelling up? Maybe it's just as I'm getting older lol finding certain area's/enemies quite difficult even early on in the game.

 

Yeah I struggled killing deadlift more than any other boss in borderlands
