Borderlands: Normal vs. Unlock Bundle

So there is a lot of hubbub about the recent exposure of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection becoming free. However, there are two version of the Handsome Collection on the store. One is the actual collection for 35$ off the normal price, and the other
is called the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Unlock Bundle in the store, and THAT one is free. So, is the Unlock Bundle an actual free copy of the Collection? or is is a temporary trial, like the Free for a Weekend events on Xbox Live? If it is a truly
free version of the Handsome Collection, then why is the actual Collection 35$ off instead of just making it free? I would appreciate an answer, so that I could buy the real Handsome Collection before the deal runs out if the Unlock Bundle is a trial. Thanks

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Xbox One

Just saw on Reddit that there seems to be an Unlock code for this that is currently Free.

Not sure exactly what it is or if it's a pricing error or not.

In my order history doesn't appear my games

Hi i have owned the bundle from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/borderlands-the-handsome-collection-unlock-bundle/bvrk77xxgb for free
now. The link says that I have owned them but it doesn't appear in my orders history, anyone has the same problem ?

Pretty sure that's because it's on "Free Play Days" for the weekend. You can play it for free all weekend, but if you want to continue playing it afterwards, you'll have to buy it. It's a similar thing like they've done for other games in the past, like
Sunset Overdrive.

I don't fully understand what is happening with The Handsome Collection however reading Major Nelson's post, This is a free to play session and the $35 off is the actual full game

One card set was not included in the bundle. That may have been it. It's not hard to unlock them normally.

Smwutches

The game was part of a special event over those days so it was only free to play for that weekend. You would need to purchase the game if you want to continue playing it.
