Borderlands is Free, but I can't download it

@CROW3421 You need gold in order to download Games with Gold.

 

I do have a gold membership

 

On the forums, it shows that you do not have gold activated.

@NiteHawkS1 that is the error that comes up with a child account. Since the game is rated M for Mature in the US if you aren't on an adult account it needs the 360 console login to verify age.

 

Then why can I download it from the 360, without a parental account, with no problems?

You would still need a parental account on 360 in order to verify age and permission since the game is rated M.

 

Because as they call me blitz said the parental settings don't apply to webpurchases of 360 games

You need to enter the parental password to buy m rated games

 

I have never been required to enter a password nor use a parental account to purchase or download M rated games.

 

Then you don't understand how xbox works

It doesn't notatter

You need to use a 360 to get past the parental settings

You cannot change the email or the age of the account to make it an adult accoumt

The only way for a child account to download m rated content by law is by parental approval which is only the 360 console

Xbox one parental settings only work on the one console

 

360 and one marketplaces are completely different that is why you can download on the one marketplace but not the 360 because the parental settings don't cross platform

 

Not to mention the 360 marketplace rules are different

 

Your only options are borrow a console or use a parental account (adult accohnt to download it ) by copa your cannot legally change your age

Or rent one

There is no work around and is a violation of the rules of xbox to even ask for onw

 

Basically that is your three options

Borrow or rent a 360 console or use another account till your account reaches the age of majority
