Borderlands Headphone issues Dialog Specific

I hope I can explain this properly. Let me start by saying I have played all the other borderlands games but have never tried headphones until the Pre Sequel. I bought a pair of official xbox one stereo headphones because while I play the game I would
have it turned down low so as not to disturb my family. but I became frustrated with not being able to hear the dialog and mission objectives. I had the subtitles on but they would go too fast and I couldn't always read them. So I bought the head phones
with the DISTINCT purpose to hear Character dialog and Mission objectives. However when I plugged my head phones in I could hear everything BUT those two specific things. I.E I can hear sound effects and music but not CERTAIN dialog. Let me specify, I
could hear background chatter as npc's were dying but If i accepted a mission I would not be able to hear the mission objectives. (I could still see what was being said in the subtitles however, so i knew something was still being said. I DID go into audio
controls and turned music all the way down and effects all the way down and dialog all the way up. Again, I could here npc background chatter but not character dialog and mission objectives. As a side note, two other trivial things I could not here was
the sound effect for when I loaded a gun. Also could not hear my foot steps and grunting as I ran and jumped. Any ideas on how to fix this?

character specific dialog?

Only thing I was extremely dissapointed in the demo was the fact that characters don't talk with one another, like you think superman and lex would have a small conversation before a fight.

was one of the few things i loved in marvel vs capcom 3. was the dialog between certain characters before the fight. will the real game have this?

 

Head sets for X box one

I am use any headphone with mic where the controller supports 3.5mm jack. You dont have to buy Microsoft specific headphones
