Borderlands 3 xb1x crashes when joining co-op

You may have to uninstall and maybe reset your console also. When a system crashes like that it can and will cause memory corruption. Tell me if this works or not for you.

I have the same issue, its its really frustrating. What workaround did you find?

Honestly the only solution i have that works 99% of the time is to load up your own game on one of your characters before joining someone-elses game. And same thing vice versa

I had already gone through all the suggested troubleshooting (both microsoft troubleshooting and gearbox suggested troubleshooting) steps, with absolutely no difference whatsoever. I also tried to get ahold of gearbox and 2k with no response. Many people
have had this same issue, and I had read through quite a few forums. Changing the resolution is the only not suggested and so far the ONLY way I have gotten the game not to hard crash the console.

Btw I first played the game on PC, and was hoping for the cross play that was talked about, but never implemented. I gave up and decided to get the game on my 1x also, just so I could play with other friends. But I also noticed on PC that the game isn't
optimized very well either. It constantly runs high temps, and notably runs my system at very high clocks (comparable to rdr2 for PC). My PC is a newer machine running an i7-9700k, 64gb 3200mhz ram, and a 2080ti running at 2100mhz (sometimes played at 2k res,
sometimes at 4k). So by no means does it lack for anything to play a game like that. But even then I notice times where runs really hard seemingly at random parts of the game where it is generally less intense than alot of the more action packed moments in
the game.

I do believe that there is alot of opportunity for better optimization on borderlands 3. I do find it quite odd that it is the 1x that has the join co-op crash, but yet can be the host of a co-op game for other non 1x machines. And that by changing the resolution
was the only way to stop the hard crashes. I would just like to see this issue fixed, and for gearbox/2k to actually recognize this issue with a very due apology to their customers that they have deliberately ignored for 6 months now.
