Borderlands 2 troubles.

I have, and still have to this day the Borderlands Triple Pack which includes all 3 games with all the DLC for each game.

Yet when I go to load the "Add-On disc" for Borderlands 2 on the X1, it will only launch the game itself and not the DLC.

I then went to my 360, which has all the games and DLC installed and copied my Borderlands 2 saves to 'The Cloud.' Thinking that would allow the DLC, from the disc and NOT a digital purchase from Xbox marketplace to work on the xbox one, but then on the
X1, I get this message.

"Unable to load this save data because it is from downloabe content you do not have or are not permitted to use. If you have purchased this downloadle content, please ensure that it is fully downloaded and installed."

So whats up with this?

"downloadable content you do not have" - I beg to differ, for I do have it! - Just because I didn't purchase the DLC from xbox MarketPlace does not mean they can deny it's use on either my xbox 360, or xbox one via backwards compatibility.

"not permitted to use." - I am sure the backwards compatible team at MS's Xbox division can fix this issue, for. "Can't never could do anything."

Trouble with Borderlands 2

I have the Season Pass downloaded for Borderlands 2, and have downloaded all the previous add-ons that have released since the release. Today the new DLC Tiny Tina's **** was released but, when I go into the downloadable content option the add-on isn't showing
up anywhere in the available content for download. I've tried re-installing the Season Pass and the Compatibility Pack to no avail. If I back out and open the section numerous times the DLC will show up as being available...although it says I have to use Microsoft
Points to attain it. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Gearbox have stated by their official twitter account that a quick restart of the system will fix the problem, but if it doesn't work then you should contact them via this link

Hey there ElectroFlying.

To access the DLC content, you'll need to insert the correct disc in order to start the download for the content. Are you certain you're using the correct disc for Borderlands 2? Double check that and let us know

I MAY have it figured out.

I Deleted Borderlands 2, then inserted the add-on disc, which caused all the dlc to queue up along with Borderlands 2.. Which currently sets at around 19% complete.

In queue now is.

After downloading all 47 in queue'd for Borderlands 2, which amounted to 14.6 GB of space, I still get the same message as in my origonal post. I then tried to choose the Mecromancer charator and.. Was prompted to buy it.

So back to square one!

Glad you were able to install all the DLC, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your save file. Just curious, if you start a new save are you able to access all the DLC?

 

No, it all gets queue'd up and seemingly dl's but when you go to play the game with say Mecromancer, it will not load her and prompts me to buy her dlc. So as stated above.. Back to square one.

I noticed on the 360, that Borderlands 2 with all the dlc is over 15gb, while on the X1 it's only 14. something gb.

I hope they patch this soon as I would like to complete ALL of Borderlands 2 solo using the X1 controller.

 

As yet, no resolution to this problem.

 

Deleted, updated and reinstalled Borderlands 2 around 10 times over the past week and today... It seems to all be working. Thanks for fixing it MS. .

 

So uninstalling and reinstalling fixed this? I am currently having a similar issue with DLC purchased on marketplace and am now unable to access any of my saved characters, and am receiving the exact error message regarding content you do not have permission
to use. As I was already about 20 levels in on the mechromancer and had a very lucky drop with a conference call I do not want to start over.

 

Nope, nothing has fixed this issue. Oh sure deleting and reinstalling will lead you to believe everything is fine but when you fire up the game you're right back to square one... So I gave up and went back to the 360 for all my local borderlands gameplay
and the P4 for online gameplay for the handsome collection as I simply have neither the time, patience nor the inclination to put up with such designed issues. And clearly MS decreed that if you didn't buy the dlc directly from them then you cannot install
and use it locally without the disc always being in the optical drive. And if you want you saves transferered, that's too is hidden behind a MS pay wall.
