Borderlands 2: The Handsome Collection and duplicating guns?

One of my friends who plays nothing but Borderlands on the 360 is thinking about buying a X1 for the Handsome Collection. He asked if duplicating guns was still possible. I like to get at least one character to max level before
going online to play (I believe joining others messes up the balance of the game.), so I don't know. Anyone here play it? And have you "duped" guns?



On a side note, was wondering why I am getting so many "Oranges" this time around (Got a "Bee" and "Conference Call" first run though.); it would appear from the article I read that Gearbox has turned up the drop rate.



Legendary Drop Rate Adjustments through May 13

If it seems like the loot gods have smiled upon you recently, Vault Hunter, it's because they have! Well, sort of. The team has been doing
some thinkering with legendary drop rates recently, and will continue to do so through May 13!

Over the next few weeks (based on the schedule below) we'll be testing out a different percentage increase to the drop rate of legendaries across the board in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation
Vita (BL2 Only), Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

We can't say exactly how much the drop rate has increased week to week, but can assure you that the adjustments will never sink below the default rate!

Adjustments will be made through hot fixes that will be set live on Thursdays on the following schedule:

• Weel Two: April 16 through April 22 -- LIVE NOW
• Week Three: April 23 through April 29
• Week Four: April 30 through May 6
• Week Five: May 7 through May 13

Not had one orange yet that i didnt buy

 

I've got five oranges from the main story of B.L.s II. I was wondering how you could "buy" them, then remembered some of the D.L.C. had that option with tokens, and my friend tells me in the Pre-Sequel you can spend real money.

In three play-thoughs on the 360 I only managed to get a level 29 "Bee"; the rest of the oranges and pearlesents were given to me by my friend and randoms.

Are you playing 2 or the Pre-Sequel?

Playing pre sequel orange weapons start showing up in vending machines got a legendary pistol from machine on the spaceship

 

^I've only dabbled in the Pre-Sequel. I'll get back to it, though will say I'm not a fan of the jumping physics; Claptrap also makes a weird noise when jumping. Lol.

Drop rates definitely have been increased, I saw one in a locker last night, had to record that lol. To answer your question, yes you can still dupe items on the X1.

 

I had not played any so that i would go with that first as its set before 2 just starting 2 now doing a few missions with all find my fav so far its axxon love the mini turrets

i did presequel with claptrap his pirate ship mode is great and is really funny

@chessyhunter1 I love the nuclear turret until the higher levels, then switch to the twin turrets after that. Claptrap seemed to be the most amusing character, that's why I picked him...despite my friend telling me I was crazy. Lol.

Clappy is quite fun but yeah his skill is so unpredictable. I found myself not using his action skill much so I could make sure I was handling business. It's the worse when you're in the middle of a boss fight and they decide to give you the rubber ducky
one lol.
