Borderlands 2 not working online

I got the free borderlands 2 game that was available free with gold. I played it once online. But now when ever a try to play online it says all sign in profiles must've able to play online, and the only profile is mine and I am gold. Second when I try to
connect to Xbox live ( keep in mind that I am already signed in on my X1) it says connection error to check my network. I've went online and I see that this is a common problem with borderlands.

Please advise

Unable to connect to xbox live

I'm in the same boat as everyone. I just got home from work to play a little borderlands 2 before heading off to school. Bummed because last night I was having problems with dlc content I bought last night for borderlands not working now I can't get online
at all. I guess when it rains it pours.

I'm sorry to see any issues with launching Borderlands 2! While it can look like several people are having issues with the same thing, it's good to remember that no one goes online to post that their content is working just fine.

When it tells you to check your connection, does it give you a prompt at the bottom to test it through the Xbox 360 Guide? If not, or if that doesn't give you any information, let's clear your Xbox 360 storage on the Xbox One. To do that, you'll want to
navigate to Settings > All settings > System > Storage > Clear Xbox 360 storage. The console will restart. After that, sign in and then try launching the game again. It should prompt you to download your profile again through the Xbox 360
Guide.

A "Borderlands 2" that didn't work for thousands of Customers.

"Aliens Colonial Marines".

And now a prequel set in between "Borderlands" and "Borderlands 2"?

Are Gearbox the laziest developer on the planet or what?

Did you get Borderlands 2 this weekend? This past weekend Xbox Live was holding a free online play weekend with a full game trial of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection as well. If you purchased the trial then the trial period is up and in order to play
the game you'll need to buy a copy. If you've owned Borderlands 2 for awhile and it is just now not working could you tell me what the error message is saying when you try to start the game.
