Borderlands 2 DLC disc not giving DLC?

I recently bought Borderlands 2 Game Of The Year edition immediately after seeing that it had made it's way onto the backwards compatible list. The only problem is that I am worried to open up the game and start playing it because I have seen people in
reviews for Borderlands 2 in the Xbox store having a problem receiving their DLC. If someone could tell me if I should resell my game to get my money back or if there is a way to claim this DLC via the disc. Help would be much appreciated very much, thank
you.

Borderlands 2 DLC GOTY disc not working on XBOX ONE

whats happening? I own a digital copy of borderlands 2 + physical copy of GOTY edition. Just installer borderlands 2 on my XBOX ONE and then put the DLC GOTY disc and it downloaded all the DLC on my system. The problem is when i try to play the game is like
i never purchased the DLC content

xbox one: xbox360 - borderlands & mass effect additional content

borderlands(game of the year edition) and mass effect (platinum hits) games loaded fine but disc 2 with same 360 DLC content does not load.

Content is only available if you purchased or will repurchase DLC for additional content.

Hey there YoboiPatrick,

The Borderlands 2 GoTY edition on Xbox 360 comes with two discs. So in order to use the DLC, you'll need to insert the DLC disc into the console. This will allow you to play the game and all of the DLC on the disc.

^ With the Borderlands DLC's you just install to the hard drive and never have to use the disc again. I am still trying to come up with a DLC disc or something. I want to play Borderlands so bad but don't want to hit 50 without DLC's to play Q_Q

Actual DLC, things like Shivering Isles, Borderlands DLC, Fallout DLC personally i think tis great for gaming though theres alot of rubbish and alot of just paying to unlock something thats on disc. I think Bioshock 2 had that problem.

Hey there,

Just to clarify, does this issue go away when you are playing with the Borderlands 2 DLC disc still inside the console? Try following the same steps you listed in your post, but see if it persists while the DLC disc is still inserted in your Xbox One console.

Additionally, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the base game itself? If not, give that a shot as well! Keep us posted.

You may want to look for GOTY editions of games, these will normally come with the original game as well as any DLC for it included on Disc

the first edition of the Borderlands GOTY gave the DLC as redeemable codes to download but the next version of it had all the DLC on Disc

As for Disc Repairs, some shops do this, my local GAME and HMV offer this service at £3 a disc, best you can do is give your local stores a call and ask
