    Borderlands 2 Disc DLC Not Recognized (Xbox One)


    So, I recently installed my copy of Borderlands 2 on my Xbox One. The base game works fine, but my DLC doesn't show up when I start the game. All of the DLC I own for the game came on a disc that contains: Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty, Mr. Torgue's
    Campaign of Carnage, Creature Slaughter Dome, and the Premiere Club add-on content pack. When I went to go manage the game in the game hub, and checked out the downloaded DLC's, it said that they were installed but also had the option "Buy to own", which
    is frustrating because I did pay for these DLC. Any help for how to get access to these would be appreciated.

    Borderlands GOTY DLC disc compatability

    I own the game of the year edition of borderlands and cannot get the dlc disc to be recognized. Is it compatible or is there a way to get it recognized? I really want to shoot ****.

    whats happening? I own a digital copy of borderlands 2 + physical copy of GOTY edition. Just installer borderlands 2 on my XBOX ONE and then put the DLC GOTY disc and it downloaded all the DLC on my system. The problem is when i try to play the game is like
    i never purchased the DLC content

    Hey there DarkmoonDSH98!

    If you're using the game of the year edition, be sure to insert the second disc first to add the licenses for DLC to your account. From there you should be able to install the content if it isn't already installed.

    It's not the game of the year addition; I bought the game without add-ons several years ago, and a while after bought a disc called "Add-On Content Pack - Borderlands 2" with some of the DLC on it. The DLC all work on my 360, but I was hoping to move mostly
    on to using the One.

    I did a lot of research on the matter and found that Borderlands 2 GOTY edition is not available on either the Microsoft Store or the Xbox 360 Marketplace to purchase digitally and this edition is a disc/retail edition only. I saw that you could also buy this
    edition directly from Gearbox on the Borderlands official website.

    The DLC included in the GOTY edition is able to download separately from the Xbox 360 Marketplace, but the whole bundle is not recognized, so the Xbox One may not recognize the DLC disc for this reason. The game itself is backwards compatible, but this edition
    was specifically made for the Xbox 360 console and only sold at retailers in disc format. The DLC would need to have been purchased digitally in order for it to be downloaded on your Xbox One.

    If you cannot download each individual DLC from the Microsoft Store with the DLC disc in the disc drive, then it will not be possible to use this content on the Xbox One. The main reason as mentioned earlier is that you need to have the game disc in the
    console to verify the license and also the DLC disc but it's not possible to have two discs in at once, so the DLC disc is not readable as a game disc because it isn't one.

    I hope this explains the situation a little better.

    Borderlands DLC disc won't read.

    If you own the physical disc with the DLC's, the DLC's are not added to your account's purchase history.

    "Borderlands: For all editions, DLC comes included on Xbox One. For the Game of the Year edition, accessing DLC doesn’t require you to insert the DLC disc on Xbox One. Only your purchased DLC, however, will be usable on Xbox 360."

    Did you make sure that the account your trying to access these dlc's with is indeed the account that you purchased it on?
