I have a windows 10 pro optiplex 3020 computer. It has 8 GB ram DirectX 12 . I want to download some games from XBOX in Microsoft store but the ones that I like when I check system requirements it says you need 2 GB video storage and I only have 1. Dose anyone know how to increase the video memory or boost it ?

    :)

Would you have any suggestions on what kind I should get for around five hundred dollars that has decent graphics and could maybe be upgraded in the future? Keep in mind don't really play a lot of games it's just when I come across something that interest me I like trying to see if I can do it. starting to turn into an expensive hobby. Thanks for replying to my question. You have saved me a lot of time searching.
You're not going to get a decent gaming PC for only $500. That kind of money may seem a lot, but it really isn't in the PC gaming field, a tiny sum in fact. to get a 'decent' PC, you need to start at the $1000 minimum.

My current gaming PC is an i7 8700, 16GB and an RTX 2080, it's high end, but only just about. It beats the Series X and the PS5 though, especially when it comes to Raytracing performance. It probably cost me about £1,500 so far (about $2000 U.S)

As Tezzarrific has already pointed out it's not worth it at the moment. I built my PC pre-pandemic/pre-chip shortage and prices were stable. This should get better in 12 months time, and even better if the price of bitcoin crashes!

Yeah i built my gaming pc right before the pandemic/chip shortage as well so i got lucky.

Ive got 32GB of DDR4 ram@3600mhz, an i9-9900K (liquid cooled) and a liquid cooled RTX 2080 (so since its liquid cooled i found out it should be getting the performance equivalent of about a 2080 Super) and a 2TB NVME SSD.

Got all this back in December of 2019 and i spent about $2500 USD, so I cant imagine how much it would have been post pandemic/chip shortages. Haha

i would wait on purchasing a new pc or even parts for pc just now, prices are massively inflated due to the chip shortage globally and you would most likely get ripped off.

i would save more over the next year and get youself either a very descent pre built or build your own after researching what you want, by this time next year prices should hopefully start returning to normal and by then you will have enough to build a descent rig that will last years.

hey Tezzarrific . Thank you for your feedback. YOU are right I haven't been able to find what I need. On the brighter side of things though is that I'm just trying to learn about computers. I really don't know anything about them but its really intersting trying to learn. thanks again and maybe you can answer some more of my questions in the future.

you cant unless you purchase a graphics card, as your PC is quite low spec it may struggle even with a descent gpu.
