Booklets making a comeback?

For a while it kind of seemed like booklets were a thing of the past, i've noticed lately in some of the newer games they seem to be returning (Evolve, Dying Light, GTA V ect)

I know its not really that big of a deal but I think it is kind of nice to see them returning, I mean its more content for your $$$ haha.

What do yous think, think more games should start again or just ditch them completely?

Need a game manual (PDF) for fable anniversary for the xbox1

Yes i thought so too, but unlike the ‘ fable’ booklet for the xbox, which is easily printable as a booklet, this one can not be printed as a booklet.

somi need a manual which is presented in a booklet printable form.

microsoft state they stopped putting manuals in game boxes to save the enbironment ( bit feeble, just saves them money and increases profits [ why not donate the saved money from the mauals not produced to a green projct instead of in bill gates povket ]

anyway once manuals were not included the idea was to make them available for downloading....but this one is not really a manual booklet as suvh, the cooyright has ceased so maybe MS can pribide a printable booklet, especially as they are making bucket loads
of $$$ out of the fable trilogy

 

No Instruction Booklet

First Gears 3 gave me a dinky 2 page booklet and now BF3 gives me nada. Anyone miss the old days where the booklets actually contained some cool info in them?

 

Might sound weird but I hope they do come back. You can't beat the smell of a book in a new game.

 

Do I open my HDD to find this "booklet" thing?

 

Kill the trees! Pour more concrete! I love the smell of a game booklet in the morning smells like victory. You son! you either play or fight! Charlie dont play. You know son....some day this games gonna end......

 

I do miss game booklets.

I had a ritual of reading them while dropping the kids off at the pool

yeah because games are already too expensive... lets add a $2.50 booklet into 5 million cases... or just code a bunch of letters and numbers once and have it in game under menu _HOW TOPLAY

 

Would love manual books again...maybe I'm nostalgic but I luved the manuals...

 

I miss the books of old. Most pc games that you got during the early 2000s were as in depth as the games they were for. Some had at least 150 pages outlining the history, the lore, every weapon and even thing like recomended tactics and things of that nature.
Some of the manuals in games were actually better than going to your local book store. There was nothing like getting a new game and at night you would lay in bed and read a huge book on the game you were playing. It would suck you into the world as much as
the game itself!

 

bring back the booklet, make them out of 100% recycled paper then all is well with the activists.

 

Booklets are cool because of some of the art. But I think it's better for the trees if they don't add booklets

 

Guys just for the record, most paper these days comes from recycled paper and farms that grow, chop and regrow trees for paper. Very little deforestation goes on in first world countries for paper.
