Bonfire Ascetics Advice please

Honestly, I don't ever use ascetics unless I need a specific item. Generally, I think it's better to go to NG+ if you plan on doing that in the future anyway.

That said, I think people are going into NG+ with higher soul memory than they used to, due to the DLC (especially the third one with all the farming you have to do, ugh). And, soul memory becomes less and less important as you get more of it. So, unless
you're farming souls in order to jack up your soul memory (probably to level up really high) it probably won't be that big of an issue.

Yeah I deffinately think ppl going into NG+ are higher with the new DLC's. I had one up to lvl 230 back when it just came out. That whouldent have been realistic without the DLC's. Dident feel very OP tho comming up against those lightning pony's in Fridgid
Outskirts LoL I actually found I couldent do that on my own. I participatet in quite a few summonings, and ended up going though the level with both the NPC's, and forgot about the Ring of the living. Never made it Down there Again LoL. So Annoying!

Anyway I was looking in the WIKI, and if I just ascetic the boss-bonfires I should be getting all the souls, and rings im after, so maybe i'll give that a try

Here's a good tip for the hellish horses in Frigid Outskirts. They can be pancaked. If you use the Stone Ring and a large club, a 2 handed heavy attack will pancake them. You can then continue to pancake them while they are getting up. It's a very effective
method of dealing with them as long as they don't gank you.

Thx for the tip. Those pony's are deffinately a lot easier when you are ganking them with the help of a couple of phantoms. The problem is when youre on youre own in the blizzard you tend to move around a lot to avoid getting hit, and its easy to agro more
than one, and you end up being the one getting ganked. Pancaking might be the way to go. Keep them flat on the ground, and try not to move around too much sounds to me like the way to go. I'll try to remember that NeXT time

Thx a lot. I was thinking you could ascetic all the bonfires to get all the items, and just stay in NG with an outragously high level, but I can kinda forsee you whould quickly run into a problem with youre soul-memory becomming too high to find anyone to
summon. what do you think R3dPO1nt? Better to just go strait to NG+, or be very selective about the items you pick up, and the bonfires you ascetic? I should probable Consult the Wiki-guide to make sure I picked up the right items, and awoided that my SM goes
up too much

The dragons in that part are stupid easy to kill if you have a bow and poison arrows. The only one I've ever had trouble with is the second dragon in the rotundra area, but then I found out if you stay close and melee he hardly ever breathes fire at you.
I think I've farmed that area 4 times. You can also farm the giant lord for souls, but I wouldn't recommend that unless the character you're using isn't going to be used online.

possibly farming the dragons "arie?" for crystal lizards and dragon bones there is no boss there.

Thx mate Anything else you can tell me? some especially good bonfires to ascetic to farm for ore? some really good items you just have to have besides flameweapon? I only have very limitet exp beyond NG so anything whould help really

Aha OK I actually have that problem quite often. I allways need just a couple of levels more, so I do a lot of summoning, and then when I need a phantom for myself I cant seem to find any LoL BTW what happens to the matchmaking when you ascetic a bonfire.
Can you still find someone to summon from NG when the bonfire is at level 2, or whould it have to be someone with the same bonfire intencity=NG+, and within the same SM range. Im thinking you might struggle to find someone within the same SM-range on NG+ if
you youreself are still on NG, but only have this particular bonfire on +2?
