Bolt-Cutter, how can I kill it? Why is it so hard?

I am totally enjoying this game, but I am now incredibly frustrated by it.

Looking on the internet there are many videos showing that you have access to the whole room to defeat this boss. But when I play, there is a red force field trapping me in a small area.

The fight is really really hard and I have died many, many, many times, damn game !!! I am almost ready to quit playing, what am I doing wrong ??

Make sure it is 3 kills in a row with the crossbow only also you may have gotten 3 kills while shooting 3 bolts but if one of those bolts got a double kill that means that one of them missed which could be why you had 3 kills but didnt get it.

 

Recore update glitches game

I can play the game but was working on the Bolt Cutter with which I was already having problems pulling the core and the update has added an energy field making it difficult to reach cover because you can't penetrate it. Worse, it seems to work like a fighter
cutting off the ring because as you move about, the circle of the energy field narrows.

If the Bolt Cutter or spawns get too close you easily become trapped and can't move. Before I was at least able to get to the point of core extraction. Now, just getting that far seems almost impossible.

 

The force field was added in an update and made what was already a difficult battle almost impossible. I deleted the game and started over without connecting to the Internet in order to play it without any of the updates. In that way you can again use
cover as well as jump up on the rocks to the right of the switch that activates the tram. It still takes quite awhile to defeat and what the videos don't show is that after several attempts to pull the core and much shooting at the Bolt Cutter it begins to
weaken at which point it no longer has the strength to hold the core and you are then able to extract it.

As I recall, I did have to start the game over once deleting and reinstalling but this section really isn't that far in and the early game is a fair amount of fun as well as good practice for the Bolt Cutter.

Make sure to use to use your corebot's ability, I haven't played the game in a while but i think it was the button Y. your core bot can get captured so make sure to free it. you can double jump and dash out the way, shoot him with the same color that is
appearing above his head. and remember that you can't actually kill him. you HAVE TO extract the core. keep spamming the corebot's ability and hopefully you'll finish it without a problem.

It's still pretty tough but they show it can be done despite being cut off from cover. If the links don't show up, just go to YouTube, search Recore Bolt Cutter and look for videos within the last month or so.

I have finally beaten Bolt-Cutter. It wasn't easy, and took me awhile, but I did it,

leveling up a bit more first helped

 

how about you take away the damn beetles thay steal your robot and take them outside the forcefield making it impossible to rescue them.

 

Or how it one shots you when it switches to red mode. Shooting first with an aerial nuke then **** pounding you into the ground.

 

After 6 days trying I've deleted the game. For a casual player after 12 hours at work you just don't have enough energy to deal with this nonsense.....thanks a lot developers.

 

For the game to progress at a acceptable difficulty pace and be really fun... then for no apparent reason just become insanely difficult, is a deterent and makes the game boring. I have gone round and round for 20+ times... getting close then for no reason
using the same technique and get no where. To be honest, if the load times weren't unbearably long every single time you died... and you only really needed to go at it three times tops... It would be fine. But this is a flaw in design. Not playing this
game anymore. It is not enjoyable.

 

No thank you... the difficulty changed abruptly and is a barrier to enjoying the game now. Going on the shelf at Gamestop.
