Blurry textures and aliasing on HDTV LED monitor?

Hi, as the subject suggests, when i start up a game, it looks really blurred and aliased, it's a bit distracting but it does not make the game unplayable, i have connected my Xbox 360 with a HDMI cable, the resolution option is on optimal.

However, when i connect it to our HDTV in the living room, every detail is sharp and crisp, is there a difference in HDTV monitors and normal HDTV's?

Also, i understand that my tv/xbox upscales the game to fit my screen, however, i think this is the cause of the textures being blurry and the game being very aliased, is there any way to counter this?

You'll notice blur and things incorrectly scaled. For instance, the cow looks like a stringy straw blob or if you look down at the stone floor in a town, there can be blurs in those. Or a iron cauldron will look blurry. And the anti-aliasing will not be
noticed (Anti-aliasing is basically keeping the edges smooth, so your sword will look a bit microscopic spiky on the edges.)

Even when I'm playing on the disc, I still see texture issues. So I'm not sure what Bethesda's drift is.

Update: It doesn't seem to be limited to that texture pack. The Natural Texture Pack seems to have the same problem.

on every TV or monitor it can be different, this is caused by hardware differences between them. If the tv or monitor has a slower reaction time then the image is likely more blurry then on a different monitor or TV.

I personally think that there isn't much you can do about it, other then tinkering a bit with the display options.

 

Thanks for the reply, my tv's reaction time is set to fastest but it has not made any difference.
