Bluray won't work without internet??

Sorry to hear about the blu-ray app trouble. To check, have you been able to connect recently to make sure the app has the most recent update? If not, please give that a go. Keep us in the loop with how it goes!

Thanks, all I wanted to do was watch a bluray movie and my internet went out. So, basically this means I must always have internet access to play a bluray for the first time. So frustrating when our internet provider is so unreliable and the only service available in my area. The reason I'm using bluray in the first place is because our streaming service won't work without internet.

I had considered that but im trying to watch the very same smallville season 3 disc I watched just fine offline 2 weeks ago

To explain it

First and foremost

There is actually two types of bluray

Bluray and bluray live

If you look at the disk itself it usually will say if you need internet connectivity for bluray live

Just because one bluray plays doesnt mean all will play without internet connectivity

Hence why not all blurays players are compatible with bluray 2.0 which does require internet connectivity

Some content is live connected like games or updates or deleted scenes or some features that require internet

Smallville is pretty old bluray

More recent movies like infinity war etc have more features innyour extras
