  1. BluRay plays 80% of Discovery Universe on BluRay...but not all?


    So, I have a brand new box set of Universe on BluRay. I've been watching it but randomly have discs that just do not even come up as recognizable. For example, the last disc of season-2, the second disc of season-3... what gives? I would like to know:

    1. Why it doesn't read (right now it doesn't give me any trouble shooting codes or anything, just says use a different BluRay...not an option).

    2. Why a brand new disc w/o finger prints or scratches won't play in the player.

    3. Why the box set from the same series has 80% success rate or so, but not 100%.

    To avoid the next basic troubleshooting I have:

    a) rebooted

    b) powered off, unplugged and left for 30 seconds and plugged back in.

    So, this isn't a layer-1 problem, this is deeper than that.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

    Blu ray player app doesn't play regular DVD?

    I popped in a Netflix DVD (not a BluRay) yesterday, the BluRay app popped up, I installed it. Now, it goes to the main screen where it says BluRay, a 'loading circle' is below it, then the audio plays from the DVD, but no video.

    Conflicting reports on 3D blu-ray playback

    I sold my old Bluray player a long time ago (PS3) so I'm just glad the X1 plays Bluray period.

    To add to this, the entire Season-4 BluRay disks for Universe simply do not play, no error, Xbox One just doesn't believe there is a disc in the system.

  6. Still no response or attention, not sure exactly why I bothered but I figured it would be worth a try to see if anyone would be able to help (I had a feeling maybe Microsoft employees checked the forums). My bad.
