Bluray player app wont install

I have never really played bluray movies on my xbox one until i tried to today,i was given an error code and it said error bluray player cannot start ,i then uninstalled the bluray app, did a hard reset and tried to install the app again with no success
,anybody know whats happening or have similar problems?

help please !!

Blu-Ray Error Code 0002 "Needs Update"

Are you connected to the internet? When you start the bluray app, if you are connected to the internet and signed in to Live), it should tell you an app update is available. I got a bray app update this morning when I tried a bluray.

If that doesn't prompt you to update, then I'd uninstall the bluray app, reboot the machine and then install the bluray app again.

 

Bluray - Star Wars 4k Ep8 (italian version confirmed) won't play on Xbox One X

Hi all

I have changed two disc of Star Wars Ep8 (italian version) 4k, both won't start on my Xbox one X.

Othere bluray, inclusding 4k ones, play just fine. Also I don't have any problem with my game discs.

The bluray app player starts but hang with the loading circle at half. I can hear the BR reader reading and then everything stop. The console itself is not blockes since I can quit the bluray app.

I have already tried to power cycle the console, re-install the bluray app and re-initialize (fast mode) the console, same result

Anyone succeded in playing SW Ep8 4k?

 

I'm having the same issue. I was being told my Blu Ray movies won't play and then uninstalled the app like you. It was then gone from the APP Store and now a black blank tile is on my dashboard that allows me to click install but does nothing. MS was claiming
some issues were occurring with downloaded items and game and are also claiming it is now fixed. Still not working for me though. Probably just going to return my XB1 and stick with my PS4. It doesn't struggle with five year old tasks like this POS does.

 

Yeah I'm having the same problem with mine and I'm at the point where I'm done I'm thinking of switching to the ps4 I went through 5 Xbox 360s and now this ***? I'm not going through this crap again a huge company like Microsoft should have this figured
out by now the failure rate on the ps4s is supposedly 1% wth Microsoft
