    Hi all,

    For a while there the bluray was working fine before I got the new firmware, 1705.170512-1759 just noticed this issue today on a new movies I just got all the old movies I play are now the same and wont play at all.

    hard reset no help either

    its in both my xbox one and xbox one S ,

    playing dvds the voice is talking then the lips move 1-2 seconds later and gets worse the longer you leave it run, also skipping and running like its in slow motion,

    I reported this on send a report also in here now, I put the dvds in a reg sony bluray 3d player and they play fine, but not in either xbox,

    none of the setting have been changed from when it was working except the firmware..

    removed and reinstall the Bluray app didn't help at all.

    Xbox One S Blu Ray Player Issues

    Every bluray I have (one 4k UHD Bluray and dozens of regular bluray titles) does not work with the Xbox One S I have. They work just fine in my other Xbox One (regular 500gb, not S or elite XBO, and obviously not the 4k UHD bluray) but every time I get an
    HDCP error for 5 minutes flipping between the error screen and bluray app frozen, then it just tells me it cannot read the disc. Apparently the Xbox One S needs a different bluray app than the regular Xbox One bluray app. Maybe if the community was allowed
    to make a bluray app for the Xbox One S it could save Microsoft some face since I have more faith in the community at fixing a problem via their own bluray app than Microsoft fixing it.

    my xbox one s played ok on dvd/blueray, until I got an update for blueray player app, now getting error message

    so the issue is the bluray player app in the microsoft store.

    it needs to be updated with the latest codecs.

    please update the bluray player app.

    The Xbox One S is fully capable of playing Blu-Ray and DVD movies, especially 4K UHD Blu-Rays. You just have to download the Blu-Ray app: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/apps/bluray-info

    Otherwise, any HDMI-capable device will work through the HDMI-in port on the Xbox One.

    Received replacement One now can't play Blue-Rays/DVDs

    You might try deleting and downloading the BluRay app again from the marketplace. Since the Xbox One is not region specific, it is possible the replacement had the wrong region BluRay app downloaded when returned to you.
