    Bluray app won’t download or update on Xbox One


    OS 10.0.22621.2864 updated on Dec 11 2022.

    Bluray app worked before but now when I put a disc in (any disc; dvd, bluray or 3D) it launches the Store app, says bluray app is “installing. View in queue”.

    When clicked, it goes to the queue but nothing is happening. The queue is blank. I have reset my Xbox and that didn’t change anything.

    The app also doesn’t show up in my app folder, but it did before. I’m not sure what else to do to trouble shoot.

    Received replacement One now can't play Blue-Rays/DVDs

    You might try deleting and downloading the BluRay app again from the marketplace. Since the Xbox One is not region specific, it is possible the replacement had the wrong region BluRay app downloaded when returned to you.

    No ability to allow 3d even though I have a 3d tv...

    StalkingDAVE, did you get the newest update 1408? That has the new 3D support in it. Also once you have the update, you will have to update the bluray app as well. Just put a regular dvd, bluray or 3d bluray in to have the app update if the xbox doesn't
    do it on its own.

    Blu-Ray Error Code 0002 "Needs Update"

    Are you connected to the internet? When you start the bluray app, if you are connected to the internet and signed in to Live), it should tell you an app update is available. I got a bray app update this morning when I tried a bluray.

    If that doesn't prompt you to update, then I'd uninstall the bluray app, reboot the machine and then install the bluray app again.
