    Bluray App will not play regular dvd


    So the bluray app on my xbox one just quit playing regular dvds. It would play blue and games just fine, but regular dvds would not work. so I uninstalled the bluray app and redownloaded it. It started playing regular dvds again, then I pinned it to my home
    screen and started getting the same error I was getting before. So I unpinned it from my home screen and it started working again. Has anybody else have this happen to them? Is it a bug in the code for the bluray app itself or maybe a hardware malfunction
    with my actual console? Any input would be helpful.

    Oxbox One Blue Ray app not playing video

    Blueray app on our Xbox One will play audio but not video from a DVD or Blueray disc.

    No ability to allow 3d even though I have a 3d tv...

    StalkingDAVE, did you get the newest update 1408? That has the new 3D support in it. Also once you have the update, you will have to update the bluray app as well. Just put a regular dvd, bluray or 3d bluray in to have the app update if the xbox doesn't
    do it on its own.

    Xbox One won’t Acknowledge backwards compatible Xbox 360 games

    Only Xbox 360 games and regular DVDs, BluRay disc and Xbox One discs work perfectly!

    constant problems DVD Xbox One S - why bother?

    Did yoi download the bluray app?

    Also enable auto start disc in the app options so when you do stick a disc in it starts

    Even ps4 you had to download the app

    Off the shelf dvd players dont have any other functiom but to play dvds

    You gotta remember not all discs are bluray or dvd

    Some can be mixed media or a bluray live disc (usually your xtras disc )
