BLUETOOTH XBOX WIRELESS CONTROLLER JUST WON'T WORK

I have tried everything i could.

    Windows 10

    Dell Alienware 17 R4

    16gb RAM 1tb Harddrive

let me know if you need more info.

However, I've been trying to get my Bluetooth Xbox controller to work forever. The controller does connect and i do see it in device manager under Bluetooth devices. However, Xbox accessories won't recognize it, and when i go to play any game, especially
NBA 2k18, it doesn't work properly, some of the buttons don't work at all, sometime sits unresponsive and when i go to controller configuration, half of the buttons aren't mapped and some are mapped wrongly, the joysticks don't work at all and and the mapping
is referred to as Button 1,2 ,3 etc in stead of Y X B A which it normally is supposed to be. I can't change anything. It just doesn't work.

I have tried updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling bluetooth drivers, restarting pc, restarting controller, "Controller X" says there is 1 controller connected but none of the button work when i press it on the controller, im completely lost. i
just got this laptop but this controller worked fine on my last laptop.

    :)

Xbox 360 controller connecting to Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter

    Hello,

Last week I buyed a Xbox One S wireless Bluetooth controller, for playing games in Windows 10. Unfortunately games will be slow when I use the controller with Bluetooth. My keyboard and mouse are also connected through Bluetooth. It seems like that 3 Bluetooth
devices is too much at the Bluetooth controller.

Now I want buy a Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter to connect the Xbox One S wireless controller. But is it possible to connect a Xbox 360 controller to that same adapter? I buyed the new controller because the Xbox 360 controller gives problems at Windows
    10.

Anyone suggestions why games will be slow when the Xbox one controller is connected by Bluetooth? When I connected the controller through a USB cable, everything works fine.

    Thanks.

    Xbox controllers for windows 10

The Bluetooth controllers don't come with an adaptor, is has Bluetooth built in. The device it connects to need to have Bluetooth to work, if your PC doesn't then you need to get a Bluetooth adapter for the PC.

The wireless part of the controller works on a unique frequency only for the xbox controllers, so it won't work with WiFi, so for your PC to use the Xbox Wireless part, you would need the Xbox Wireless Adapter.

Xbox 360 controller not syncing to pc

    Hi,

The Xbox 360 wireless protocol is not Bluetooth. This is why your 360 controller won't sync to your wireless receiver. PlayStation Dual Shock uses BT, the 360 does not. Only the Xbox One X controller can be connected via Bluetooth.

If you want to use a wireless 360 controller you will need to buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver. Don't buy the Xbox One receiver as it does not support 360 controllers either.

    Turtle beach connect to pc

yes as the controller works on bluetooth but there is no audio passthrough via bluetooth, either plug the controller in with a cable and hardwire the headset into that or use xbox wireless adapter.

    HP Stream xbox control

You can, but you'll need an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver which is currently out of production. They're generally available secondhand on sites like eBay.

However, if your laptop has Bluetooth (or if you add Bluetooth functionality via a dongle), you can use the current line of Xbox One controllers with Windows without an adapter. Older controllers won't work as the Bluetooth functionality was added fairly
recently. The new controllers also work with smartphones for the upcoming xCloud service (currently in beta) and even for other games.
