Bluetooth not working with tp-link usb dongle

Discus and support Bluetooth not working with tp-link usb dongle in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I have a tp-link nano USB Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor but cannot pair it with my Windows 10 PC with Windows updates turned on.     Bluetooth not working with tp-link usb dongle


    I have a tp-link nano USB Bluetooth 4.0 adaptor but cannot pair it with my Windows 10 PC with Windows updates turned on. I get as far as "Add a device" and select "Xbox wireless controller", the handset is in pairing mode, but I just get a message "We didn't get any response from the device" Any ideas on how to fix.

    I would also like to add I have the exact same issue on Windows 10.

    Just purchased the Elite 2 controller and found that the initial bluetooth pairing works fine (TP link Bluetooth Dongle). Then plugged the supplied USB-C cable into a USB port on my PC to charge. After disconnecting from the USB C cable the Xbox light flashes
    on the controller. Power cycling the controller makes no difference I still have the flashing light.

    Only by removing the bluetooth device and re-pairing does it work again. Note that I have updated the controller to the latest Firmware.

    For Information I have a Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows and that works as expected without the above problems.

    There is not a bluetooth receiver on the xbox and I doubt it would utilize a USB bluetooth dongle

    Bluetooth won't allow for wireless headsets like you think. I have a PS4 which has bluetooth and my wireless headset for it requires the USB dongle with it and a cable that goes from the USB dongle to the optical out port on it. (turtle beach 500p) I have
    a wireless one for my X1 as well (afterglow AG9) and it just has the USB dongle.
