    Bluetooth Keyboard with Dongle Support?


    Hi,

    I'm trying to see if a Bluetooth Keyboard that has its own dongle will work on the XB1?

    I've seen that wireless keyboards will work, but when I tried with my Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000, I cannot get it to connect.

    Any suggestions or is this a no go?

    USB Bluetooth dongle support on Xbox One S?

    The Xbox One and Xbox One S do not support Bluetooth in any way, and it does not contain any built-in drivers to interface with a Bluetooth dongle.

    If you want to use an external keyboard, you can use:

    - The keyboard chat-accessory that attaches to the controller.

    - Your smartphone with the Xbox app (keyboard pops up when you are ready to enter text on Xbox).

    - Standard USB keyboard.

    - Wireless keyboard with its own included USB dongle (non-BT)

    Xbox one does not have a bluetooth radio internally. Maybe it would work with a bt usb dongle (external to the console)? Plug it in and try? If I remember correctly, external keyboards need to be plugged in while the console is off, then turn it on

    Bluetooth keyboard on Xbox Series X/S?

    It won't work, as the bluetooth dongle will not work on the Series X|S as the console does not support the bluetooth adapter. If you want to use a keyboard on the console, then you will need a wired keyboard or a wireless keyboard that is not bluetooth.

    Currently you can only use wired keyboards on the Xbox console
    That's not quite true. The Xbox doesn't support Bluetooth Wireless keyboards and mice, but, it does support wireless keyboards and mice that have their own wireless dongle.

    The ADX keyboard comes with a USB dongle. You need to connect the included dongle to the USB port on the console.

    Hi,

    Xbox does not support Bluetooth devices. Only keyboards and mice with additional dongles work on the console.
