Bluetooth headset and party chat on ipad

I have to use a Bluetooth bone conduction headset because I have meniere's disease.

On playstation, I use a USB Bluetooth dongle to connect the headset to hear party chat and gameplay audio. I then plug in a headset with a mic into the controller so the party can hear me.

Series x does not do this. I am getting a 3.5mm Bluetooth transmitter to connect my headset to hear gameplay audio. I understand that this will not allow the party to hear me. Will I be able to plug a mic into my iPad, open the Xbox app, enter party chat so that my friends can hear me?

It is extremely annoying that Microsoft has disabled Bluetooth so that headsets cannot be used.

Yes, you can definitely use party chat via the Xbox App on your iPad while you're playing on your Xbox console.

You can also use a headset that supports a 3.5mm audio jack with a built-in mic so you can simply plug it into your controller. Another option is the Xbox Wireless Headset. You may want to check this out: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/headsets...

Thanks for your help man. After research, im going with the Arctis 3 bluetooth. I actually wanted a decent wired headset for the ipad anyways so this accomplishes that while solving my chat issue.

Are you using the mobile app to chat in a party with your friends?

Make sure both the input and the output of the chat audio is coming from your headset by connecting your phone to the Bluetooth headset first and then connecting to the party. Does your Bluetooth headset have a mic?

Also, since you are playing on the TV make sure the party audio is not coming through the TV -- that can be another reason for the echo.

If you are using an Xbox controller connected to your phone via Bluetooth and you want to connect a wired headset to the controller, it will not transmit the audio from there.

Out of curiosity what Microsoft bluetooth chat headset did you have, I only saw third party headsets last gen, perhaps those are the companies you should be asking?
