Discus and support Bluetooth Controller problems Windows 10 PC in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I cannot get it to connect to my Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.     Bluetooth Controller problems Windows 10 PC


    I cannot get it to connect to my Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. It connects for a second seemingly then just shuts off? I plugged in it via usb and it worked, did the firmware update too. It just won't connect to the dongle for some reason
    and I don't know why?

    Xbox One Wireless Controller    " . If you continue to have a problem connecting via Bluetooth, I would be curios if the controller works with your PC using the USB port, "How
    to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC    " . Let us know if this helps.

    Hi Lior,

    What Bluetooth Adapter are you using?

    Also have you tried running the Bluetooth troubleshooter to see if it can find the problem? If you haven't already seen this support article "Fix
    Bluetooth problems in Windows 10    " and go through all of the steps mentioned on that article to troubleshoot the Bluetooth adapter.

    If that doesn't help, I would see if you can try connecting the controller to another Bluetooth enabled PC in order to narrow the issue to either the controller or the Bluetooth adapter.

    Bluetooth

    Xbox One Wireless Controllers may support connecting to your PC via Bluetooth. Your controller has this feature if it looks like the one on bottom in this illustration:

    On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the
    bumpers are.

    Notes

    • Bluetooth requires a PC running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. See Windows Update: FAQ to learn how to get the latest Windows update.
    • For best performance, update your controller. See How to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10.
    • Bluetooth is supported on PCs, tablets, and laptops. It is not supported on mobile devices.
    • Bluetooth does not support any attachments, such as headsets, chatpads, or the Xbox Stereo Adapter.
    • We recommend connecting only one controller at a time using Bluetooth.
    Follow these steps to pair your controller to your PC using Bluetooth:

    Xbox One Controller Won't Connect via Bluetooth to PC

    Hi there,

    I'm sorry to hear the issue persists and the troubleshooting done so far has not helped. I think we should look at troubleshooting the Bluetooth function in your PC since two controllers cannot connect to the same PC via Bluetooth and the controllers work
    fine with USB cables.

    Take a look at our support article
    Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows 10     to go over some steps to fix Bluetooth issues like running a system Bluetooth app troubleshooter and making sure all of your drivers are up to date.

    Do you also have any other devices you own that connect via Bluetooth to Windows 10 for testing purposes?

    New Bluetooth Controller

    I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth function of the controller is not to pair with the console, but rather a Windows 10 PC, or Windows 10 Mobile Phone (yes its confirmed). I am under the assumption the Xbox One S will not have Bluetooth, otherwise the Xbox One
    S would just be a Bluetooth controller.
