    Bluetooth Connectivity Issues: Will Wireless Adapter Help?


    Hi all,

    My current setup is Xbox One X with Elite Series 2 controller and a bluetooth headset.

    Over the past month or so, I've been experiencing some serious latency issues. Occasionally over the course of 10 minutes, my controller and headset would disconnect up to 3 times. If it doesn't disconnect, there is still noticeable static in the headset
    and delayed/missed controller input. It doesn't happen 80% of the time but I still want to resolve this issue. This is pretty frustrating as you could probably imagine.

    I've concluded the root cause to be one of two things:

    • Interference with router (Xbox is wired but still close to router)
    • Xbox's internal bluetooth hardware is wearing out

    Does the Xbox Wireless Adapter use bluetooth as well? This could be a simple cheap fix if the internal hardware is failing. Otherwise, there's not much I can do about the interference.

    What about the other issue - not being able to connect via wireless adapter only bluetooth? (bluetooth is not great, has higher latency)

    so this happen when headset is connect to wireless adapter only (remove the Bluetooth connection to my phone)

    When headset disconnect with wireless adapter the connection with Bluetooth(phone) connection with the phone still there. I'm able to reconnect with the adapter anymore. My thought was because of Bluetooth but I don't think that it.

    Don't have controller.

    Thanks, so just to clarify.

    So, is this issue happening when you connect your controller to the wireless adapter and then your wireless headset to your PC bluetooth?

    Or do you want to connect both devices to the wireless adapter only?

    Gabriel can you try disconnecting the wireless adapter and open the app?
    If that works, connect the wireless adapter with the app opened.

    By the way, is this wireless adapter the Xbox Wireless adapter? Or is a Bluetooth adapter?

    Turtle Beach Stealth 700 for a year and recently switched to Lucid Sound LS35. Both are Xbox integrated but yet they both disconnect.
