    BlueRay player app needs fix


    Hi, I've seen similar posts, but no resolution so far. The BlueRay player app is missing something as not all DVD's will play on it. I tried taking this up directly with a CSR in chat, but that person was a bit uninformed and claimed, quite wrongly, that
    it was "Designed to only play BlueRay discs." Apparently that person hasn't read the documentation on xbox.com or he would have known better.

    Anyway, can this app please be fixed or rewritten so that it will play all BlueRay and DVD's? Thanks

    Still having problems with Xbox One S Blu Ray app not playing 4K Blu Rays

    Mad Max Fury Road 4K UHD disc also can't play on my xbox one s...

    so the issue is the bluray player app in the microsoft store.

    it needs to be updated with the latest codecs.

    please update the bluray player app.

    My Bluray player app isn't working anymore and I get the same error message although yesterday everything was working fine. Please fix soon.

    so.... did Xbox 360 need Blu-ray at all?

    It would of been nice, Instead of having to buy a Blueray player for my bedroom and a xbox360, or having a Blueray player and a xbox360 under my telly I would of just needed the 2 xbox's.

    It might of added to the cost of the xbox but not as much as £000's of pounds I spent on 2 Blueray players.

    Why force a piece of hardware onto people that do not want it?

    I'm being forced to buy an Xbox one with a blueray player. I plan on buying digital and have a blueray player. I do not need or want another one. Why is MS forcing me to buy one? Damn you MS!

    to play movies you need to install the bluerays app. the ruling may come from there
