    Bluepoint Games Nailed It!

I didn’t know what to expect with this version of Titanfall. We’ve all been kept in the dark when it came to this game on the 360. We never even got a screenshot of the game on 360. So I put the game in last night expecting the worst. Was it going
to be so bad that the game would be unplayable?

    It was quite the opposite.

I’ve played Titanfall on the Xbox One and have seen game play on the PC and Titanfall on the 360 can hold its own with the big boys. Last-gen hardware and all!

There are noticeable differences in the graphics department and some minor tearing but nothing that changes the game experience. The test for me was when things really got going in battle and you have multiple Titans and Pilots firing guns throwing
explosives and smoke. With all of this going on, I was sure the game would lock up. Right? Not at all. The game ran as smooth as an Xbox One minus some window dressing. Heck they even still had the animals in the Bone Yard map.

So then why so tight lipped on this version of the game? Did someone want to sell more Xbox Ones?

I will have to take EA’s word that the game needed polish and that the delay was not in any way a strategy to sell more Xbox Ones. Because this is exactly the same game on the 360 and the Xbox One.

If you like shooters, this one is a must own. See you on the Frontier.

    :)

    No open beta for 360?

^^ I would be as well but from what I've heard, Bluepoint actually has a good track record. Here's a link if anyone wants to know a little more about them

Couldn't agree more, I was of the opinion that they were tight lipped because they wanted to sell as many Xbox One's as possible before this came out and was perfectly fine on 360. I'm glad I waited and saved the $500. I will get an Xbox One, but not until
something is there that I just can't miss, like Halo 5.

  5. They said they held it back to polish it up, and yesterday we got a polished version. It's entirely possible they were holding it back to try to boost X1 sales, and with me it almost worked. I had a little disposable income and was looking at the Xbone
Titanfall package and almost gave in. I'm still holding out for a reduced price kinect free X1 before I buy next gen.

Anyway, the game is amazing and a lot of fun. Of course they weren't going to release a game that would freeze up in the middle of a firefight. Remember this game was initially intended to be a last gen game, but got promoted to the next gen. Most of
the next gen abilities are in graphics. A 360 is perfectly fine to handle a 6 vs 6 match with a couple dozen or so AI bots thrown in. There's no way Respawn didn't develop this with the intention of making it work on the 360 simply due to the fact that they
wanted to sell as many copies as possible AND make a good first impression. They can't do that by only catering to the X1 and PC crowd. There are millions and millions of 360 users that are potential customers. Respawn would be stupid to exclude them.

Given Microsoft's track record I gotta imagine it was their order to delay the 360 version release. No doubt Respawn was ready to release it and crush some release day sales, but MS wanted to try and dangle that carrot in the hopes that more people were
pressured into buying an X1. All I know is it didn't work on me, and I'm completely happy with the 360 version.

    Titanfall delayed again

^ It's being handled by Bluepoint. They've made some VERY good ports in Gen 7. You can rest easy.
