    Blue ray not playing any dvds


    Xbox one x - installed blue ray app and reinstalled it but still wont play any dvds. Plays blue ray fine.

    yes the Xbox one comes with blue-ray built in. and will play blue-rays and regular dvd's.

    Hey!

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist, it sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the console not playing DVDS. Is it one specific DVD that it's not playing? As well have you tried clearing the persistent storage? To do so please go to disc
    and bluray, under bluray you should see persistent storage. Please clear it 3 times. Let us know how it goes.

    Have you tried power cycle your console? In most of the cases it helps solving the issues.

    could be the red laser being picky (all 360 discs are dvd, xbox one are blue ray which uses blue diode)

    do you have any issues playing normal dvd movie discs (if you have any)
