Blu-Rays sometime stutter

Hello,

My Xbox One S sometimes stutters on Blu-Rays.

The only time that I have encountered this is when I play SOME Blu-Rays from other countries. I am in the United States and I have an imported TV series from Germany and a movie from Australia that stutter. There are others from other countries that play fine.

I've played the same discs on another Blu-Ray player using a different TV and they play just fine.

Is something wrong with the Xbox? Have any of you encountered this issue?

As the other two users said, I also think could be an issue with the region from the discs itself.

Would be great if you try playing the same movie/serie but with a US blu ray disc

Allow 50hz allows for 50hz output, which is disabled on the vast majority of US TVs to prevent them from being sold in Europe

You’re seeing the interpolation of the 50hz signal to 60, which requires making up 5fps. The stutter is a common side effect even in professional conversions. You need to get a display with native support to avoid it, or higher end equipment that will do a better, but not perfect job on the fly converting it

In that case it's either an issue with the disc, the drive or more often than not, some other setting on your TV. Even with the 'Allow 50Hz', some TV's may either not play ball with the frequency or some other post processing is enabled on the TV and causing a conflict. Modern TV's or monitors running at a high refresh rate (120Hz) may cause additional issues. VRR (variable refresh rate) can cause issues with video if your display has this technology.

It's not a 4K Blu-Ray. Just a standard one.

I tried the troubleshooting and it still doesn't work

May I know if you tried power cycling your console to see if the issue persists?
Or which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this?

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.
