Blu-ray.,. What Blu-ray?

Since I upgraded from a One X to a Series X I've not been able to use my Blu-ray player. Why should we be charged the money to essentially upgrade, but the apps we use get forgotten about.

I've recently upgraded to a £1200 soundbar which accepts all codec and dtsx. Yet I can only play movies when I deselect allowing my receiver to decode audio. This then has lip sync issues. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, and gone through all the other settings one by one. Nothing works.

£500 console advertising Blu-ray shouldn't be allowed unless it works. Clearly an update to this app is overdue. If I wanted just a games console I'd have got a PlayStation that also allows VR.

Will Microsoft give an answer to this?

It's not saying, the BDF created Blu-ray... They Innovate the concept By Sony/Phillips & used it for their own setups & Brought it to market etc

The blu ray is from red box (so its new), my blu rays 007:QoS and Inception (older blu rays) work fine.

Hello Phillip, I see that you've already tried some procedures on your console, however you've already tried to reset the console while keeping games and apps, if you haven't tried follow the procedures below.

Try to remove games from quick resume, because when you will start some game that is very heavy in matter of memory for the console.

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

This solution didn't work. I've already cleared the cache, now I've reset the Xbox. Clearly this is a software issue and not a settings issue. This happens only when the option 'let my receiver decode audio' is selected. If I deselect this then the video works seamlessly. The audio however is behind the video. Kinda like watching a movie that's been dubbed in another language.
