Blu Ray Update

Discus and support Blu Ray Update in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I went to watch a blu ray disc. The app would pop up and then disappear without playing. I ejected the disc.     Blu Ray Update


    I went to watch a blu ray disc. The app would pop up and then disappear without playing. I ejected the disc. There were a few fingerprint smudges. I cleaned it and reinserted, same issue. I tried a different blu ray, same issue. I restarted my console,
    same issue. I noticed there was a system upgrade. I upgraded the system, same issue. I went to the store and found that the app needed to be upgraded. Finally an hour later I was able to watch the blu ray.

    I don't think of blu ray as an application apart from my console. I don't think I should have to look in the store independently to find out if the blu ray app needs to be updated.

    Very poor experience, we're supposed to delight our customers. I'm frustrated, not delighted.

    Blu-Ray Error Code 0002 "Needs Update"

    I have the Blu-ray app downloaded but when I put a Blu-ray disc in it wont play and says the player needs an update to play the disc. How do you update the Blu-ray player?

    Post october update noise

    same problem with blu ray noise... started before october update... installing titanfall and the blu ray started make this noise..

    Blu Ray Problem: Cannot play Game of Thrones Season 3

    It is possible that this is related to the Blu Ray app and the recent updates it has received. I have also been experiencing weird issues with the Blu ray recently and no one at Xbox will acknowledge if there is a known issue with the Blu Ray player.

    Hey, Delta. The Blu-ray app update is not a preview version. It is an update that was released to the general public. To enable 3D Blu-ray playback, you need this app update combined with the system update that is currently in Preview.

    The same happened with me. 3D blu-ray now works, but it's really choppy, making the movies unwatchable. Will this blu-ray app update combined with the august update help the movies run smoother? It would be nice to be able to put away the 3D blu-ray player
    and just use the One for movies.

    If there's been a new update for the Blu-Ray app should I uninstall/reinstall again or wait for my console to detect the update?
