Blu-Ray stuttering whilst watching films

Hello, I have recently noticed that when watching films on Blu-ray films they're are occasional stutters as if the disc is skipping.

I have checked the discs and also tried different films, but it seems to happen on all of them. Its an intermittent problem and happens about 4 or 5 times during play back of a film. Is this a software glitch or is my disc drive dying :-/

I'm getting a little frustrated with my Xbox One, while watching blu ray movies I'm finding that the films will randomly freeze for a second & occasionally stutters! Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? It's very noticeable while trying to watch
a movie!

Dear Dev Team, I am really pleased with all the great new features in the preview programme and am having little or no issues generally. However I have noticed when playing back a 3D Blu-ray the other night that there was noticeable stuttering throughout
the film. Please advise. Thanks

 

Try hard booting the console and power cycle as well. If that doesn't help go with the restoration of factory defaults.

1. Hard boot - hold power button on the console for 10 seconds.

2. Power cycle - unplug the power cable wait for ~20-30 sec. Plug it back in.

3. Restore factory defaults - Settings>System>Restore factory defaults(content will be wiped), but you will be able to re-download.

 

No this hasn't fixed the issue at all even tried swapping the playback to 24hrz

 

I'm having the same issue. At first I thought it was the blue ray movie but I try 3 different ones and its go black for about a sec every 30 to 45 sec..

 

These kinds of issues have been happening to me since day one. Both blurays and regular DVDs have intermittent playback issues. They have improved a bit with the incremental updates to the app but they are still going on. I keep Microsoft will get it together
with this.

 

Thank god I'm not the only one!!!! I suppose the saving grace is it can be patched..

At got kings, I don't have that issue mate. Mine never goes black it just stutters with an occasional static feedback now and again (only slight). I'd start a new thread in here or contact xbox directly if I was you.

 

Bump, any news on whether this fault is known by Microsoft and any patch coming?

 

Ok Guys ive got the final answer to the problem on this now after contacting MS support. Unfortunalty it is faulty hardware and can't be patched.

I have just recieved my new xbox one through the edvanced exchange progam and the blu-rays are now running as smooth as butter. Get in contact with MS directly and ask for replacement hardware, or take the console back to where you bought it and exchange
it for a working system.
