    Blu ray skips/drops audio WITH WORKAROUND


    I had repeated problems with blu ray movies, both HD and UHD, stuttering or freezing for several seconds or just flat out dropping audio. Tried all the usual things, (new cable, different player if I could, etc) but changing this setting seemed to correct
    it:

    Settings -> Disc & Blu Ray -> Blu Ray -> Let my receiver decode audio SET THIS TO CHECKED

    No issues since.

    X1X scorpio ed hdmi out to lg b7 oled optical out from lg to receiver.

    Xbox One Playback Woes

    I've tried watching a couple of different Blu-ray discs recently, and it's just awful. Skips a frame every five or ten seconds. Microsoft finally fixed the audio sync issue but this still makes Blu-ray discs unwatchable.

    I really thought that the Xbox One would be replacing my old Blu-ray player and obviating any need to buy a new one, but that's obviously not the case. Will be upgrading my stand alone player now. Blu ray skips/drops audio WITH WORKAROUND :(

    Xbox One Blu-Ray Player, audio and video out of sync

    Surprised this is an issue at all, and quite annoyed too. Have only tried 3 blu rays yet, but all three had lip sync issues.

    They all start well, then it skips a beat at some point (similar to layer change of old on DVDs) and after that the audio is out of sync.

    XboxOneS is supposed to be the best available blu ray player out there, and yet the blu ray app (APP!) has very bad reviews, and for good reason it seems...

    Bitstream DTS reported as 5.1 not 7.1

    Maybe it's the Blu Ray only providing DTS in 5.1 Are the provided audio formats listed on the Blu Ray?

    No, Blu-ray and HD are not the same. Blu-ray is the media format. Not all content on Blu-ray is HD. Anyway, wondering more of the actual specs, like bit rate, fps, and streaming format for both audio and video.

    The plot thickens... just tried a music Blu-ray and the audio was no where near as delayed as it is everywhere else... what is that about? Does that mean the pic is also delayed by about the same amount as my audio randomly on Blu-ray?

    Does the Xbox One use Lossless Audio on Blu-ray and HDMI in?

    After doing some extensive searches, it looks like the One has a few issues with the audio output. It only plays max 48htz. I cant find anything about passing another blu-ray through it, but would think that it doesn't pass un-affected and most likely will
    downgrade the audio. I would suggest trying it with one of the Disney blu-rays that have the audio tests and see what actually happens. Those that have tested the blu-ray of the One and not getting the acceptable sound just ended up not connecting their
    blu-rays and using the One as a game only..
