Blu ray problems?

Great news that you have been able to replicate the issue, hopefully you guys can now find a fix

 

Any updates on this? No improvements since the recent update. Although I understand there's a blu ray update soon.

Playback appears to be perfect with BDLive off but is unwatchable still when it's turned on

 

I have another blu ray that needs to be looked at.

It's plays perfectly then completely freezes for around 5 seconds then continues playing for a while then completely freezes again for around 5 seconds

I have tried having bd live turned off and on which makes no difference. It's a brand new blu ray and works fine on my ps3

 

Thanks Joe. I'm pretty sure we've fixed the issues with Apollo 13, but it'll take both an update to the Xbox OS and an update to the Blu-day app. Are you part of the external preview? The May release external preview will go out soon. I'll order Stargate.

The Stargate issue is a strange one, it's runs perfectly then freezes everyone and then, during the freeze you can hear the discs reading/re-reading (making a bit of a racket) in the drive then continues on perfectly/silently.

i am watching quite a few blu rays lately as I'm loving my new tv, watched nemo with the other half the other night, looked stunning. (No issues with Disney blu rays so far)

 

Just seen this as I'm looking to resolve a newly found issue with my BR playback. I had no issues prior to the 50hz update and now I'm finding all BR discs are having a stutter which seems to occur when there's a sudden change in sound leaving me wondering
if it is more to do with the sound settings. It's as if the system is struggling with the newly increased sound and has to think about it before going forwards. Once the system is happy with the sound out, the picture begins running again... Just guessing
here but never noticed the issue prior to the update. Why has that been added and not for DVD anyway? BR is usually 60 or 24 so the 50 seemed kind of pointless...

 

I have decided to go and change setting starting by deleting an re-installing the BR player but the stutter was still there. I've tried changing all settings in the BR settings but still no change. I've just taken of bitstream in sound settings and changed
to stereo uncompressed. No more stutter...

 

I live in France and since the April update I experience many "lags" while watching blu-rays (avengers by example). It is like the playback miss some pictures for any seconds (it can be for just one second but can still during 3 to 5 seconds) and run in
normal way just after.

The same "lags" are experienced in in game cinematic (Lego The Hobbit).

Is anyone dealing with the same problem ? Is it a known issue ? Is there any "tricks" or parameter to change in order to fix this issue ?

Thought I would give you an update on this, not had a chance to watch Apollo 13 fully but put it on for around 15-20mins and initial impressions are that the judder is either completely gone or now very minor, will confirm over the weekend.

Also had a quick look at star gate and this still seems to experience the same freezing issue

 

I've personally had 4 instances of a momentary stutter while watching Walter Mitty on Blu-ray. Nothing terrible, but noticeable. Just figured I'd mention it.
