    Hello I having a major while playing any DVD or blu ray dis,only occurs in the movie itself,previews & others things r fine with audio until movie starts,checked my settings & even contacted xbox directly for help with no resolving the issue,I currently
    have a xbox 1s limited gears war edition which is fully update,as of 11-10-19 was the 1st time I've tried to use the dis player for movies at all,download the bluray app from Microsoft store,have no issues with dis games at all,this issues is with movies only,what
    I'm getting in the movie when its starts is only background noise only in the movie,u can not hear the main audio of the people talking at all in the movie, I'm also using a non 4k tv 40 vizio smart tv 1080,any help with any1 who has had this issue can email

    Hi everyone.

    Not trying to be smart or anything, but did you install both the Audio CD and the Blu-Ray player apps??

    I ask because I have had several people ask me why an audio CD won't play or a Blu-Ray movie, but had neglected to install them..

    We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that this concerns an inability to receive audio for your discs on your Xbox One console.

    Is this occurring on all movie discs, and would there happen to be any error codes upon playing each movie? Our suggestion here, please attempt following our how
    to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox One    support article. Try this out for us and then let us know the results.

    Received preview version of Blu-ray app, but I'm not in the preview program

    The same happened with me. 3D blu-ray now works, but it's really choppy, making the movies unwatchable. Will this blu-ray app update combined with the august update help the movies run smoother? It would be nice to be able to put away the 3D blu-ray player
    and just use the One for movies.

    Xbox one S won't play UHD John Wick

    I am having this same issue with the xbox one x. John Wick loads to the menu screen, will start the movie and as soon as it starts there is no video but audio does work for a minute. Then the movie hangs and blu-ray player app closes. Was there any resolution
    to this?

    back in 2008 Mgs 4 pushed blu ray to the max. uncompressed audio and movies make for big games.
