Blu-Ray Player Video Issues

Discus and support Blu-Ray Player Video Issues in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I got my Xbox One on release over a year ago and have had no problem with the Blu-Ray player before, but a couple of days ago it developed a problem...     Blu-Ray Player Video Issues


    I got my Xbox One on release over a year ago and have had no problem with the Blu-Ray player before, but a couple of days ago it developed a problem with no warning.

    I had finished watching one which worked perfectly but when I put another one in and tried to load it up I got stuck on the blue screen with the white loading circle although the menu music of the Blu-Ray was playing in the background.

    I thought it might be a temporary problem so I turned my Xbox off all the way to the plug and left it overnight to try again the next day.

    Next day I had the same result. I then tried other Blu-Rays in case it was just that one which was faulty, but the three others I tried (plus the one that worked fine the previous day) had the same issue, I decided to leave one of them on this screen just to
    see if it just took a really long time to load... 4 hours later it was still stuck.

    Today I have searched these forums for other Blu-Ray player issues and fixes to see if anyone else had the same problem as me, or any fixes for any other Blu-Ray player related issues also happened to fix mine. None of the following worked;

    -Holding the power button for 10 seconds and turning the console back on again

    -Disabling BD Live

    -Clearing my persistent storage (3 times in a row)

    -Uninstalling and reinstalling the Blu-Ray player app.

    I haven't seen anyone so far with the same problem of having sound but no video yet.

    For further information the Blu-Rays which didn't work were;

    -Another (The one that had worked the day before)

    -Nekomonogatari: Black

    -Kabukimonogatari

    -Sword Art Online Part 1

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your blu-ray, especially with such an awesome anime series. Have you by chance been able to test the blu-ray on a different player to see if the same issue appears with the video?

    Nah, no voice controls with blu ray. Those commands work with Netflix, amazon, and xbox video but it's strangely absent from the blu ray player. Throw in a blu ray and check it out, check out how dumb the controls are too. They could be sooo much better.

    You tried to watch a Blu-Ray with the media player app? That's not what it's for. It's for streaming videos and pictures from your other devices or from a USB. If you wanted to watch a Blu-Ray, all you had to do was download the Blu-Ray app and then put
    the disc in the drive...
