    Blu-Ray Player Updates?


    I've used the blu-ray player app on my Xbox One many times. One of the discs I am trying to play says "Your Blu-Ray Player requires an upgrade in order to play this disc." It references a website that displays options for updating many regular blu-ray
    players, PC apps, and PS3. However no instructions for XBox One. Does anyone know if there are updates for the XBox One Player? Or soon to come? (Blu-Ray Disc is Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith) (new, undamaged)

    See, and I'm totally the opposite. I don't buy tons of movies anymore, but when I do, I buy the Blu-ray version. Most of the time it comes with a regular dvd anyways. I almost use my PS3 exclusively to play Blu-rays. Nine out of ten times if I buy a game, I buy it for the Xbox. The only time I play the PS3 is for the Sony exclusive titles like Uncharted or GoW.

    I am with the preview program nothing going on yet, not expecting anything until next month at the earliest if I find anything out I will let you know.

    I don't need to download an app to use my Blu-ray player and it updates its own firmware.

    It is possible that this is related to the Blu Ray app and the recent updates it has received. I have also been experiencing weird issues with the Blu ray recently and no one at Xbox will acknowledge if there is a known issue with the Blu Ray player.
