Blu ray player stopped working on 3 month old Xbox one!

Discus and support Blu ray player stopped working on 3 month old Xbox one! in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; The blu ray player was working fine-now when I put in a disc ( that we have played on it before) it goes to main menu ( with title & chapter numbers...     Blu ray player stopped working on 3 month old Xbox one!


    The blu ray player was working fine-now when I put in a disc ( that we have played on it before) it goes to main menu ( with title & chapter numbers flashing & changing in bottom left corner) I click play or even scene selection and it goes to one of those
    warning pages that is on every DVD and then back to menu -it will not play ANY MOVIE. Have I mentioned it's 3 MONTHS OLD???!!!!! What a piece of $300 crap! Oh and Microsoft - not everyone has unlimited internet - we have satelli internet and I was incredibly
    pissed that's the game that " came with it" was download only - that is UNUSABLE !!! -unless we want to use 2 months of bandwidth for a "free" game ( that's $120 for 2 months!!!) from now on we will buy PlayStation!

    Blu-Ray Playback Bad for Xbox One Laser?

    My Xbox one X is my primary Blu ray player, and my old one was as well. Never had any issues.

    Netflix App won't load Movies or TV Shows on Xbox One

    I'm having the same problem.. But also Xbox video stopped working for me two days ago as well. Tried playing my Iron Man 3 blu ray disc, and that didn't work. Starting to wonder why I bought the xbox one..

    What sort of troubleshooting steps have you tried with the Blu ray player thus far? Have you tried using different DVD's or Blu ray discs to see if it still happened?

    Tried "turning it off /in plugging it - tried with quite a few discs - one almost worked - it skipped to chapter 16 instead of starting at the beginning - ended up using the PlayStation 4 to watch it - it won't work with dvds or blu rays - it had worked
    fine - it hasn't been moved - nothing happened to it - it just started to do this - another thing it does ( that it didn't before - the bottom menu / control pops up right away without pushing the B button like you are supposed to. Is there any way to fix
    it? It's also hard to even select the blu ray player it jumps to the embody live screen and is a pain to select blu ray -/ soon as

    Thanks for the info, do you own any disc based games as well? Have you seen any issues with those? Since the console is only 3 months old, It's highly likely that it's still under warranty. I'd hate to think something is wrong with the drive itself, but it's
    definitely possible at this point. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Blu ray app from the Xbox Store yet? It could be a corrupt install or update for the app that's causing the issue as well.

    yes we have disc games as well I tried one and it needed an update 13 GB !! And it started that instead of giving options and didn't have the stop option like it has had before -haven't had time to try others yet.

    Gotcha, did the game run after the update was complete? You can also take the console offline with

    these steps     which will allow the game to install and run assuming the game doesn't require an online connection to play.
