Blu ray player on Xbox one not working... 25th July 2016....

Hi, tried the blu ray app yesterday ( 25th ) and it wouldn't work. I uninstalled the app, ready to re-install it, as that fixes 99% of problems, now I can't find it in the store to re-install it, lol. I think its a problem at the Xbox live end, not my console.
Anyone else have this issue, please drop me a reply, as I am getting a bit worried, as I am trading in my Xbox for an Xbox Slim next Tuesday, and don't want to trade in a defective console. I would like conformation that it is an Xbox live problem, any info

4k problems ono xbox one s

I love everything about the Xbox S except for the 4k blue ray player. I bought 2 4k UHD disks, The Revenant and Star Trek Into Darkness. The Revenant had major audio sync problems which just come and go. Star Trek Into Darkness would not even load. Returned

Hopefully Microsoft will be able to fix this quickly.

 

Hi, I'm having the same problem. Watched a bluray fine on Friday (22nd July) and now nothing. I uninstalled the app but then when I found it in the app (search blu) it says it's 'incompatible with this device'

Updated my console. Still says its incompatible.

I have raised an issue through Xbox not sure if that will help.

I'm on the preview program too, that might be part of the problem. If I don't hear back from Xbox soon I'm going back to stock and see if that helps.

 

Hi, I found exactly the same thing, also in the preview program, when I found it, it said incompatible. Just did a factory reset and it did the same thing so it must be at Microsoft's end. Got a feeling they are updating the whole app for the Tuesday launch
of the Xbox One Slim, which is a 4K player. Glad to know that its not just me, lol. Just hope they sort it out by Tuesday.... Thanks for replying, all the best, Mike T.

 

Hey all, it sounds like you're all in the Xbox One Preview program. Please reach out on the preview forums for the best information and troubleshooting steps on this.

It could be a bug and they'll be best to find out for you.

Had another look this morning, and it says that the blu ray player is not currently available, so it is at Microsoft's end, should be available (hopefully) by Tuesday.
