    Blu-ray player not working


    Ok so i started renting 4k blurays.

    Put new Jurassic World in last week for a family member and worked fine.

    Then decide to watch.

    For past week no blurays working.

    Have 4k hdr projector and tv that showed it fine before no change to settings but now it keeps saying.....

    "Apolgies, our service isnt working properly at the moment. To check XBox live service status, go to https://support.xbox.com"

    I have checked no problems.

    I have changed all visual settings and back.

    I have reinstalled bluray player 5 times.

    I have tried signed in and not signed in.

    I have tried with bdlive on and off.

    I have checked nat and multiplayer and ok.

    Multiplayer has displayed a similar message occasionally on Pro Evo.

    Whats going on?

    Any help is much appreciated

    Just tried the Blu Ray on a PS3 and it works like a charm, so it's definatly a bug on the Blu-Ray Player on the Xbox One!

    DVD playback quality is still atrocious.

    No I would expect a blu ray player to play DVDs as good as a standalone DVD player. Blu Ray players don't magically improve DVDs. The problem would appear to be that the One blu Ray player doesn't perform well when playing DVDs in comparison to other
    Blu Ray players.

    Xbox One won't load or play several of my Blu-ray discs

    I purchased "The River" Blu Ray at my local fly fishing shop the other day and it will not play in my Xbox One.

    I brought it to a friend's house that has other Blu Ray players and it works just fine in the non-Xbox Blu Ray players (it won't work in his Xbox One either.)

    Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

    About Cleaning the Xbox One's Disk Drive Lasers with a DVD/CD Disk with tiny Brushes...

    Do you think that the official Blu Ray cleaner disks (for Blu Ray players) will work and not damage anything?

    They say they work in the PS3, and that has a slot-load drive. I assume that the drives are similar.

    Nah, no voice controls with blu ray. Those commands work with Netflix, amazon, and xbox video but it's strangely absent from the blu ray player. Throw in a blu ray and check it out, check out how dumb the controls are too. They could be sooo much better.
