'Blu-ray player' issues

I just got off a chat with support and they told me Microsoft is aware of the issue, "We are aware of this blue ray issue, as of the moment our team of engineers are currently working on this to make sure that all blue ray disc can run on the console." I
hope they figure it out soon as it appears to be an encoding issue/software issue with the Xbox One. I bought a new copy of Total Recall also and it will not play nor will my new copy of Firefly series however older blu-rays such as District 9 will play.

 

I guess that's at least something and you also have UnholyRoth's response above. I have no doubt they'll sort but the systems been out for 8/9 months now. Needs a fix MS. More updates without having to call or tweet support.

 

I tried playing blu ray of pirate fairy for my grandkids and it will not play either. Just goes to a blank screen.

 

Does not play any Disney blu ray. What's up with that. We need a quick fix. Says cannot play this disk. Please fix. Loyal xbox fan.

 

After several trial and errors I seem to have gotten the jitter situation from unwatchable to somewhat annoying. Turning on the 3:2 pull down, fine motion control and digital noise settings have helped but not eliminated the problem. I have also done a
hard re-set on the console that included unplugging the external drive. This appeared to make the biggest difference and made viewing BD discs better. Replacing my A/V receiver made no difference and using a second TV gave the same results. I know that someone
from the Xbox A/V team claimed a fix is coming but that was almost a month ago.

 

Well I just watched a movie for the first time on the XBOX One in quite a while and it made it the whole movie without stuttering or sync issues, until the end credits were rolling and it started doing the stuttering. Unreal, that this issue still exits...

 

I have stuttering on my blu ray movies and they play normal on ps3. Is this a problem with my console? Because I can return it

 

Is everyone still having blu ray issues? Stuttering specifically for me. I'm now on my second console and had one movie that seemed to play ok, but then when I watched a second movie about an hour into it, sure enough, the video stuttered. This is getting
absurd at this point.

 

Yes, I still have BR issues. Repo: The Genetic Opera Blu-Ray. This is the second disc that will not play (We're having trouble reading this... blah blah blah), having returned it to Amazon (at my expense) the first time because I took the suggestion of
MS and tried to ensure it wasn't the disc. Evidently it is not.

I have disabled the Live feature, have powered down the unit via 10-second press, uninstalled the app and reinstalled, and uninstalled then power cycled then reinstalled - all with no success.

 

I'm still experiencing intermittent stuttering which is ruining my viewing experience. I have only been able to play Divergent without any issue. I have about 200 Blu-Rays to try and all the same on Xbox but fine if tried on my PS3. Over a year into this
console cycle and still not sorted.

My first xbox one failed as wireless controllers kept disconnecting. Now on second console and same issues so it's clearly the Blu-Ray app firmware. I've had 50Hz checked and unchecked - same with 24 Hz and any combination thereof. Very fed up at this point.
Contact MS and either told there's no problem or they're working on it.

I honestly don't see how it's so difficult to play a Blu-Ray considering Sony have been doing in the UK since 2007. Just fix it your 'all in one' multimedia player MS.
