    Blu-ray Player issues, Black Sails specifically.


    Purchased Black Sails Blu-Ray seasons 1-3 on Amazon and season 1 worked fine. Season 2 had some playback issues, especially in the later episodes. These included freezing, black screens, etc. Season 3 won't even get to the title screen, I just get a black
    screen after the first ad plays. I have also noticed that occasionally in the Game of Thrones Blu-Rays have the same issues, although not as pronounced.

    Troubleshooting I have tried:

    1) Same thing happens on Xbox One and Xbox One X.

    2) Turned off Blu-Ray Live in settings.

    3) Got ticked off.

    Any help?

    Same here. What disc(s) specifically? One of mine that won't play is disc 1 of season 2 of Black Sails (Anchor Bay). Brand new disc, no scratches or fingerprints, and it plays on my Panasonic blu ray player fine. Good luck getting an official response
    on here though. I've posted before about it on here to no avail.

    Unfortunately, that didn't help. Also, on my Games and Apps list, under Queues, the icon for the blu-ray player download is blacked out and has no description or indication that it is the blu-ray player download.

    IMHO a stand alone Blu-Ray player is always going to do a better job of playing Blu-Rays than a console. As you already own the 3D Blu-ray player what's the issue?

    It is possible that this is related to the Blu Ray app and the recent updates it has received. I have also been experiencing weird issues with the Blu ray recently and no one at Xbox will acknowledge if there is a known issue with the Blu Ray player.
