Blu-ray player issue

For some reason on the blu-ray player i get no video. Just audio. Really pathetic and disappointing. And it's a regular blu-ray disc. Works fine in a regular blu ray player. Also the weird thing is, I can dashboard, see video then go back to the app and
the video disappears. Has anyone ran into this problem?

Try holding the power button down until console shuts off. A hard reset might solve your problem.

 

Oh I had this issue go to your settings and make sure your sound is set to stereo since surround isn't supported yet.

 

Damn.... after all this time I still haven't tried a bluray out

 

It still does not work but I appreciate the suggestions.

 

Try deleting the the Blu-Ray app and re installing it.

 

I tried that as well Spiff McGee. Seems like it just has a major bug.

 

I just had the same problem. I updated my Xbox One yesterday and watched Madagascar 3 (Blu Ray) on it. I try watching Doctor Who on Blu Ray today minutes ago and it's done the exact same thing you described. It seems fine with normal DVD's and games so far.
Might have been a bug caused by the March 4th update.

 

I'd try going into your Blu-Ray settings and see if the problem is maybe the 24hz setting or one of the other ones.

 

A blank screen can also be caused by video output settings, so I would definitely check to make sure something wasn't changed on accident with the most recent update.

 

It may be a bug caused by the update because this was the first time I tried watching a blu-ray and I had the update already. I've also looked through the settings of blu-ray and video. Nothing has seemed to change it. Maybe if it is a bug it will get fixed
in the future.

 

whenever i put a dvd or bluray in, it tells me that it can't play the disc and i need to insert a Game, dvd, etc. I called support and they told me to do the hard reset and it did nothing. Sadly i have to send it in. Which means no titanfall for at least
14-21 days!

 

could be the tv not handshaking properly with the hdcp protocol, I have no issues with playback on stereo or surround, I would try and fully power down the tv and xbox and unplug from the wall for 10 minutes, then reconnect the tv and turn that on then the
xbox see if that works.
