Blu Ray player issue. Audio but no video

For some reason when I put a blu ray disk in, I get the blue screen with the blu ray logo and eventually hear audio from the disk but no video. It stays on the blue Blu Ray screen. No matter how many times I hard reset my xbox one or uninstall the app it
does the same thing. Ive unchecked the 24Hz box, the BD Live box and nothing helps. Has anybody else had this issue?

Blu-ray player issue

For some reason on the blu-ray player i get no video. Just audio. Really pathetic and disappointing. And it's a regular blu-ray disc. Works fine in a regular blu ray player. Also the weird thing is, I can dashboard, see video then go back to the app and
the video disappears. Has anyone ran into this problem?

 

Xbox One S - DVD & Blu-ray audio out of sync - DVD audio/video sync worse

I just bought the Xbox One S Battlefield version a few days ago. When playing DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, the audio/video is out of sync. The audio/video sync is much worse on DVD discs.

DVD/Blu-ray sync issue is only a fractions of a second, but lip movement does not match speech. Therefore it is most noticeable when people talk fast. I've used the new Star Trek movies for testing because I have DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital copies. Dr. McCoy
talks the fastest, so the sync issue is most noticeable on him.

My issue is limited to the Xbox One S Blu-ray/DVD player. I've tried the same setup with 3 different Blu-ray/DVD players without any issues. When watching TV or videos through streaming apps or cable box the audio/video is perfectly in sync.

I contacted online chat and walked through all their suggestions (including power cycle, reinstall Blu-ray player, clear persistent storage, and reset to factory defaults). Their last suggestion is to exchange my Xbox for a new one.

Does anyone else have other suggestions to correct the DVD audio/video sync issue?

Is anyone else experiencing this audio sync issue? If so, do you have the same Xbox One S Battlefield Edition (Military green with 1 TB hard drive)

 

I'm having the exact same issue... none of my blue rays will play.. only the audio will play as the blue ray load screen stays stuck on the blue loading screen.

 

I tried trouble shooting in the xbox support chat..... after trying a few things that didn't work... the rep sent me a link to do an offline xbox update.... but need a working comp and a formatted flash drive and some FreeTime. I have not tried this yet
and don't know if it works... try looking it up on the xbox page as offline system update...

 

I did the troubleshooting thing with xbox support also. Turns out with the new april update, my tv needs to have a firmware update so it can handle the video.

 

How do you go about by getting your tv's firmware updated. How does one even do that?

 

And how did you troubleshoot that problem down to realize that was the problem?

Your television's manual will usually have steps for updating your firmware or you can find that info online.

Were you every able to try the
offline update as suggested by Phone Support?

 

I had the exact same issue and got it solved. Just do a full system reset. Sorted it for me. You don't have to download the updates once our done. But you do have to reinstall your games after.

 

I went to samsung's website and they have options to download new firmware for their tv's. However mine is just too old for such an option. However I did the above suggestion of doing a reset to factory defaults and my blu ray issue is fixed.

 

Have you tried to clear out all other running apps.

That's what worked for me.
