blu-ray player black bars on side?!

Discus and support blu-ray player black bars on side?! in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I popped in The Hurt Locker last night, (blu-ray) and there are black bars, not on the top and bottom, but on the sides?!     blu-ray player black bars on side?!


    I popped in The Hurt Locker last night, (blu-ray) and there are black bars, not on the top and bottom, but on the sides?! Any idea what the heck is going on here?? I have sony bravia 1080p 48 inch and i've watched several blu-ray's and can't understand what's
    going on? Any ideas? I haven't changed any settings or anything on my tv or my xbox.

    will the Xbox one have cinema zoom to get rid of the black bars for Blu Ray like the 360 had for dvd?

    As far as I know, I thought all blu-ray were shot in 16:9 ratio. I've never watched a blu-ray that's had the black bars.

    Do you experience this issue with any other Blu-Ray disc or is it only with The Hurt Locker? If you haven't tried any troubleshooting yet, let's try a couple things:

    Give those a shot and let us know if this occurs with multiple discs or just the one. blu-ray player black bars on side?! :)

    App Download problems

    Unfortunately, that didn't help. Also, on my Games and Apps list, under Queues, the icon for the blu-ray player download is blacked out and has no description or indication that it is the blu-ray player download.

    I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

    Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

    To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

    Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

    Select Install to download and install the app.

    Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

    Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

    On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

    Your disc should start playing automatically.

    After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps

    Same problem. Keeps saying Not able to purchase at this time. Please try again later.

    Also, when I put in my original disk, Blu-Ray player keeps coming up. Uninstalled Blu-Ray app and asks me to install Blu-Ray app again when inserting Black Ops disk.

    WTF!
