Blu-ray Player App Picture Stutter

I just got an Xbox One at Christmas time and although I haven't had much chance yet to get to grips with it I am having an issue with the BluRay App.

While watching a bluray disc I have noticed every minute or so the picture will kind of freeze/stutter then continue but there is no interruption to sound. It makes watching the disc a little annoying to say the least. I had hoped to dump my dedicated bluray
player in favour of the XB1.

My system has the latest Xbox software installed as verified by checking on this site for the latest version.

I am unsure how to check the version of the bluray app or any app for the matter and have no idea how these update. I find it hard to believe the bluray app is dated 2013 in the xbox store, surely they would have updated it by now or am I being naïve as
I know stand alone players regularly receive updates for newer discs etc.

I have used other posts as guides to change picture setting etc but with no change, I have turned off things like allow 24hz, bd-live etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why does the Blue ray App lock up and play certain Blue rays in poor picture quality .

Xbox One Blu-Ray Player, audio and video out of sync

Just watching Fantastic Beasts and getting the occasional picture stutter. Anyone else getting this on the Blu-ray player? I've tried re-installing with no success.

This sounds like the same system wide issue that has plagued the xbox one since the NXOE beta and was released to the general public. Basically on apps like Movies & TV, Media Player, Plex, and Hulu (netflix uses a different technique its unaffected)
what happens is during motion there is split second hitching/judder/pausing it makes for not smooth motion. Some users don't seem to notice but it is intact a widespread issue that affects every console regardless of network and speed. This has been confirmed
from an outside technical analysis firm as well.

I'm having the same problem. I have a disc that works on other blu-ray players, but stutters on my xbox one. The disc is brand new too. I uninstalled the blu-Ray app and reinstalled, but still get the same problem.

You tried to watch a Blu-Ray with the media player app? That's not what it's for. It's for streaming videos and pictures from your other devices or from a USB. If you wanted to watch a Blu-Ray, all you had to do was download the Blu-Ray app and then put
the disc in the drive...

I am having the exact same problem. With HDR enabled, my 4K UHD version of the Revenant has stuttering and dropped frames. With HDR disabled, it plays flawlessly. Auto brightening is off, I don't have 50hz enabled (it's grayed out). I do have 24Hz enabled.
Disabling 24Hz, with HDR enabled, creates a washed out, almost colorless picture.

Also, I have tried two different brand new 4k UHD Blu-Ray Revenant discs (first one was exchanged at the store). My XBox Blu-Ray player plays standard Blu-Rays flawlessly, with HDR enabled, with no stuttering. So, it's not the player, and it's not the disc.
The problem occurs playing 4K UHD Blu-Rays, with HDR enabled. I also have the latest version of the app, and my Vizio P55-C1 firmware is up to date (it updates automatically).

I've also had blu-ray problems since day one, both with out of sync and stuttering. I've had my system replaced through the Microsoft warranty program and the new one is the same, either audio and/or video stutters intermittently. I'm pretty sure it's
the blu-ray app. Which really isn't a big surprise considering how terrible the OS is it's no wonder the blu-ray app is terrible.
